Gelateria Caminia In Firenze

The gelato is delicious, one of the best in Florence. Unfortunately, the rating is downgraded due to the questionable service, particularly the complete lack of knowledge about gluten-free options.

A true guarantee. I have a special bond with this place: my grandmother lived nearby and I came here often, so it's also full of memories. Here, you can feel a taste deeply rooted in history, not only of the restaurant but also of Florence, with fascinating references like the "festina lente" that speak to a tradition of care and attention. Among the specialties, it's impossible not to mention the Settimo Cielo or Ettore, and a truly exceptional pistachio cream, which alone is worth the visit. The quality has remained consistently high over time, with carefully crafted dishes and authentic flavors. It's one of those places you'll want to return to because you already know you'll have a great time. Highly recommended!

The best gelato in Florence. I love all the gelato from this shop, but the Caminia pistachio and the Atomico are so good! The strawberry one is also top notch.

We ended up here by chance on Friday evening. The gelato was good, with a wide selection, even though it's January. Everything was so inviting. The flavors were excellent, and the service was patient and courteous, even though it was late at night. 🍦

Caminia deserves it because it's in the Gavinana neighborhood (or enjoy it if you live here). The flavor of these ice creams is truly delicate, not too sugary, and some flavors are so creative! Tale: Ettore: White chocolate and puffed rice Settimo gelo (rice cooked in milk with sugar, almonds, citron, and amaretto) Festina lente: milk, eggs, cream, ginger root, and candied citrus fruits. My favorite flavor, when available, is pine nuts.

Highly recommended are the Caminia and Dubai Chocolate flavors! Very true to the original. We were impressed by the sweetness and helpfulness of the lady who served us. A lovely, authentic, and high-quality ice cream shop. Quality Very good ❤️

Super ice creams.....the best. As soon as I go to Florence, it's a must visit this gelateria to eat their unbeatable ice creams.....if it won first prize, there's a reason.
