The grilled calamari was perfectly cooked. Tender, yet some chewiness. Seasoned just salty enough. Olive oil did not take away the freshness of the squid. My only complaint was 2 was not enough when they were this good. I also have grilled veggies that are prepared exquisitely. The veggies had a grilled aroma, and cut to similar sizes and mixed with herbs and olive oil. My wife and friend had pastas of clams sauce and Bolognese sauce. They both raved about their sauce and the al dente noodles. The wines were excellent and the bread was crusty and soft. Excellent meal! The wait staff were very attentive, yet not intrusive.

The food was very good! However, in terms of quantity, you don't have to be a big eater.

After 3 years, I came back here again, always super top, very fresh raw, especially the red shrimp, fantastic. After having eaten in all the fish restaurants in Civitavecchia, the red shrimp at the Gambero Rosso restaurant is truly unbeatable. The first course that I always order is absolutely cuttlefish tagliolini with red shrimp, fabulous!
