To be honest, the storefront isn't very inviting at night, but it's a small place and a very good restaurant at a reasonable price. The atmosphere is a bit noisy, but it's manageable. It's best to make a reservation.
Carbonara 9.5: very, very good, perhaps a little too salty and it could have used a minute more cooking time.
Tiramisu 9.5: very good, not too sweet, and the cream was quite thick.

Returned after a year with one goal. Eat the uovo croccante again. It delivered exactly how I remembered. Perfect crunch, flowing yolk, and a Parmigiano Reggiano fondue that ties everything together. Simple idea, executed at a very high level.
The strozzapreti with mushrooms, black truffle, and stracciatella stands out as the best pasta I have eaten. Balanced, rich, and full of texture. Every bite works.
The mezzemaniche al ragù was just as strong. Deep flavour, slow cooked, and properly seasoned.
Service felt warm and relaxed. The setting in Trastevere adds to the experience without trying too hard.
If you are in Rome, book this place. Return visits prove the point.

The wines are fantastic, and the food is great, but the service is very average. They weren't very interested (or maybe that's just how we got there). The tuna tartare is worth trying! I'll be back someday to compare.

We went there twice during our weekend in Rome. Truly authentic, and the service was excellent. Incredibly welcoming, and there were no hidden costs at the end of the bill. Highly recommended! Definitely make a reservation for the evening.

The best carbonara I've ever had, and the best in all of Rome. Spectacular!!! Even the gluten-free version was perfect!

A unique place where you eat like royalty, it was absolutely delicious! However, it's a small restaurant, so reservations are essential if you're in a large group!! Excellent value for money 👌👍
