Returning to Gaetano Genovesi on Via Manzoni after several years was a wonderful confirmation: here, quality isn't a passing fad, but the true master of the house. The location is exactly as I remembered it: very understated, clean, and without too many frills. It's the ideal place if you're looking for substance and want to feel at home, far from overly touristy or pretentious environments. The atmosphere is so versatile that you feel at ease in any situation: whether you're single for a quick pizza, a couple for a quiet evening, or with the whole family. As for the food, the pizza is simply excellent: light dough, super-fresh ingredients, and that trademark crust. But limiting yourself to pizza would be a mistake: the "not just pizza" offering (from artisanal fried foods to traditional dishes) is top-notch and lives up to its promises. Despite the long absence, I found the same flavor and the same attention to detail. Highly recommended to anyone in the area, and beyond.

The pizza is good, but nothing exceptional. The most incomprehensible thing is the prices. €11, €12, or €13 for pizzas that were once considered popular is unacceptable.

Returning after a few years away, we found the same quality. The montanarine are spectacular and the pizzas are very good, with light dough and excellent ingredients. The prices, except for a few pizzas, are average. The only downsides are the parking, which is quite difficult to find, and the very small bathroom.

If you want to eat a true Neapolitan pizza as tradition demands, Pizzeria Gaetano Genovesi is a must-visit. From the warm welcome of its wonderful staff (especially its wife Melina and Gaetano himself), to the comfort of the space, to the quality of the ingredients used in its creations, there are no words to say about this place other than praise. I will definitely return and recommend it to anyone who wants to eat authentic pizza.
