Gaetano Genovesi In Napoli

07/08/2026: This was best thing I’ve had in Italy this summer..From Sicily to Napoli. Going to try to go 2 more times. Take some by the kilo of they do that. I believe so.

25/07/2026: I wanted to try the fifth quarter (tripe, head, snout, udder, etc.). There were two of us, but I was the only one eating them. Seeing some tables inside, we stopped to eat there instead of ordering takeout. The other person, for company, just ordered a side dish. The dish I ordered was very rustic and a bit too flavorful (I'm used to eating "cleaner" dishes). It was plentiful and had no seasoning other than salt and lemon. The side dish wasn't badly presented. The staff were very courteous and helpful. We stayed for about 20 minutes just to try the dish (and the rest was taken away). What was surprising was the bill. We didn't expect to be charged €2.50 for a basic table, as if we were at a medium-high range restaurant. Furthermore, paying €2.50 for a €4 dish (paid by the second person) seemed really excessive (that's 63% of what we consumed). Otherwise, nothing to complain about.
