Fuocolento In Roma

Last summer, my family visited Fuocolento for dinner - Nicola was super helpful in clarifying vegan options for my family members, going above and beyond to provide options. The food was AMAZING - I will remember it fondly as one of my favorite parts of the trip - and the outdoor seating was beautiful. Thank you Nicola!

Excellent, good, romantic, perfect service and good price

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel concierge on our first night in Rome when my wife and I asked for a casual restaurant recommendation that served carbonara close to our hotel. We made the mistake of not ordering off the menu, and asked our server, Alessandro, to make recommendations for our appetizers and main entree. The calamari and squid appetizers were acceptable and fairly priced, but the sea bass for 2 was enough to feed family of 5 and we were shocked when we got the bill and were charged 160€ for our sea bass entree for 2. The main entree at this “casual” restaurant turned out to the be most expensive entree of our entire trip to Italy. In fairness, we should have asked for the price of the sea bass before ordering, which is our fault, but be forewarned about off-menu pricing at this restaurant. Apparently, they have no trouble taking advantage of trusting tourists.

A stone's throw from Villa Borghese (just visited) we booked this beautiful Roman restaurant Excellent food and service, very nice staff (you're coming to Bologna, promised right? ;-) Result: from the Italian/Roman art of the Borghese villa to that of the Fuocolento panel Well done! Honestly really surprised with this place. I’ll say this first: if you want a lively atmosphere this is absolutely not the place for you. I was with a party of 7 (college age). We felt very uncomfortable with the level of volume in the dining room and because it’s such a small place the waiters are right next to you and can hear everything. For younger crowds, the atmosphere wasn’t right. Everyone was very nice and the service wasn’t bad by any means, but when I order a main appetizer on a small menu on a Friday night and they say they don’t have it, I take issue. My friend ordered the tasting menu which is very expensive and they told him individuals can’t order it, which is interesting. We generally felt like we were accommodating them. Despite this, I ordered the sea bass and it was really excellent. The food overall was great and not at a crazy price, although the portions were generally small which is something to keep in mind. Depending on the dish you get, it could be very little food. My friend ordered the cod and got a disgraceful amount (3-4 tiny pieces). Considering the price of cod this was a little sad. One tried the carbonara and said it tasted like something he could make from a box. That was really the only negative comment about the food. Everyone else enjoyed their meal for the most part. The wine was also fantastic. Overall not for us but I think with some minor adjustments on menu/service and the right crowd Fuocolento could be a winner.

Remarkable. Small location but with attention to every detail. Friendly and professional staff. Dishes presented impeccably but above all fresh products, all delicious. And as always when there is a quality oil on the table the quality level is guaranteed. All very good but the tagliolini with shellfish is a real experience for the palate. Price appropriate to the level Highly recommended

Un locale come tanti a Via Flavia a Roma.... assolutamente NO !! Accogliente dentro e fuori anche nel periodo invernale. Ottimo Pesce crudo e carta dei vini di gran livello.

I’ve been coming to this restaurant since I randomly gave a try on a rainy September evening while on a business trip. From the staff though the menu a steady quality experience. Interesting menu with daily specials. I almost always opted for fish and I was never disappointed. Great staff always ready to smile and serve your meal with professionalism. Nice outdoor area in a not busy road. I will definitely be back again. Good for tourist and for locals as well. Will be back!
