The square is delightful, and the restaurant has a lovely terrace overlooking the square. I arrived with my dog, and even without a reservation, we dined on a Sunday evening (all restaurants in the area and surrounding towns are closed on Sundays). Informal and quick, everything was delicious, and there's also a decent selection of wines. I ordered a platter of cheeses, cured meats, and meats from Puglia, while my friend chose a pizza with truffle cream, mushrooms, bacon, and scamorza...excellent.

Returning from Castello del Monte to Bari, we randomly chose the town of Ruvo in Puglia for lunch. In August, in Italy, cities are literally closed between 1 and 5 p.m. Google turned up a "Pizzeria Cucina" open until 4 p.m. Shall we? What a pleasant surprise! It was the best lunch of the last 15 days, without a doubt. Below are photos of the dishes we ordered. The best pasta sauce we've ever had (it truly tasted homemade). The place is great, although we were inside due to the heat, but there's a beautiful outdoor garden. In town? Just go!

18/08/2025: Practically perfect. Excellent meat, perfectly cooked. The staff is young, attentive, courteous, and professional. The owner manages the place with great skill and friendliness. The quality/price ratio is equally remarkable.
15/08/2025: I came with my family to check out the positive reviews I'd heard. Needless to say, everything was truly excellent. We ordered everything from appetizers to side dishes, and it was all delicious and beautiful to look at. As for the meat, even after trying other local butchers, I'd never tasted such good pork knuckle. The butcher, very attentive to tastes and allergies, was able to immediately direct us to something good that my daughter could eat. The staff was very attentive and courteous, but one young man really struck me for his kindness. If I'm not mistaken, his name is Domenico, the blond guy. He's kind, polite, respectful, and always ready to respond in a calm and correct tone. I have no complaints about the other guys, who are equally polite, kind, and respectful. 😘💪🏻 Thank you so much for everything. We'll definitely be back. See you soon! ❤️
