A classic Bologna restaurant! Authentic local dishes with local ingredients and specialties. Charming room with atmosphere. Delightful helpful staff. Not to be missed.

Having read several positive reviews about this restaurant, we decided to give it a try and we were not disappointed. Great food, impeccabile service and nice warm atmosphere! It’s obvious that the restaurant takes pride in the quality of its food. Try the traditional Bolognes - it’s so so good! The braised beef cheek was also incredible, simply melts in one’s mouth. Highly recommend!

Really nice Lasagna and Tagliatelle alla Bolognese. Lovely desserts too. Staff were all very friendly.

Everything was great, only the tagliata was a relatively small portion, 3 pieces of meat per portion. For 22 euros this dish needs an upgrade in quantity. However, everything was very tasty. Especially the semifredo with chocolate was amazing! Thank you.

Superb restaurant. The staff are complete professionals, and very friendly. We sat outside on a beautiful evening, and had our best meal in Bologna here. Amazingly rich and silky carbonara, a textbook ragu, excellent wine. What more do you want :)

Sometimes we are just so lucky to find places with such high quality food. This was beyond any expectation. The kindness of the chef and the staff was more than remarkable. Simona was so friendly and helpful. We will keep our best memories of this place. We are very thankful with Franco Rossi restaurant!!!

Hidden gem. This has been with the same owner since 1975 and he came and greeted the guests. The food was wonderful.

12/09/2025: The waiters were kind and helpful. It's a shame about the coffee: undrinkable, very acidic, both the regular and the cappuccino. It's anything but a specialty coffee. And no one offered us any other varieties, so the place can't really be called a specialty coffee place. The "veneziane" were awful—maybe I'm used to bomboloni—but they have a strange-tasting pastry, and the cream fillings are practically nonexistent (seriously, half a fingernail per pastry, highly NOT RECOMMENDED). The coffee and cinnamon swirl saves the final rating: very, very good.
08/09/2025: Delicious snacks. Large selection of vegan focaccia. Outstanding coffee.
