Franca e Luciano In Castelverde

We went there for dinner yesterday for the first time, there were 14 of us and we opted for the menu where we could taste various dishes, we started dinner with a mixed plate of appetizers (polenta, salami, savory pie and two fresh and tasty salads) we then ate the fried pie with cured meats and a taste (I would say quite large taste is not the exact term 🤣) of three first courses: risotto with cabbage and sausage, crepes and tortelli cacio e pepe, to follow we had the mixed boiled meats cotechino..tongue..beef ... accompanied by a sweet and sour fennel sauce and the typical Cremonese mustard to finish some had coffee, some desserts, some barrique grappa, everything delicious, everything perfect, everyone satisfied, good choice of dishes, all good from appetizers to desserts, good quality, good value for money, impeccable and fast service, kind and very professional staff (and they're also nice, which doesn't hurt) you absolutely have to try them...there are only a few dishes that I remembered to photograph, unfortunately we were all busy enjoying this perfect dinner 🤣😘

Very familiar and welcoming atmosphere. Good quality food. The menu is simple, it is not written but the waiters list it precisely. Fast service. Excellent trattoria!

Caratteristica trattoria in pura tradizione cremonese con l'ingresso decorato da maglie autografate da famosi calciatori tra cui spicca quella del compianto Gianluca Vialli. 8 commensali da tutta Europa di cui 2 vegetariani che non hanno potuto assaporare i salumi nostrani con lo gnocco fritto ma per i quali la cucina ha allestito due curatissimi piatti con golosità vegetariane. I primi a volontà: gnocchetti rosa alla barbabietola e crescenza, risotto zafferano e liquirizia e delicatissimi ravioli spinaci e ricotta fatti in casa. Tra i secondi un plauso speciale al coniglio. Vastissima la scelta dei dessert tra i quali tiramisù, semifreddo al torrone, sorbetto al limone e il cestino di croccante con fragole e gelato alla crema. Tanto belli da vedere quanto buoni da gustare. Il tutto servito con estrema cortesia e professionalità nonostante la notevole affluenza di commensali ad indicare un locale ben organizzato che giustamente merita la targa di ATTIVITÀ STORICA. Ottimo il rapporto qualità prezzo. Torneremo sicuramente per diffondere tra altri amici il verbo della cucina cremonese.

First time in this restaurant, I went for lunch on May 1st with my partner, what can I say, welcoming atmosphere, friendly waitresses, fabulous food... from appetizers to desserts... I recommend giving it a go, I've put it among my favorite restaurants It's only right, after all the good things, to go in and compliment the kitchen staff....

An excellent experience, if you are near Cremona, I highly recommend it.

I recommend marubini, boiled meats and desserts. Homemade mustard is a specialty. Value for money: excellent A place that has maintained the Cremonese traditions for years and that I often love to return to.

Non è mia abitudine recensire 2 volte lo stesso ristorante, ma questa volta, approfittando di avere amici ospiti, è da fare essendo passati alcuni anni. Nulla è cambiato, salvo esserci più divise di giocatori di calcio e basket appese ad una parete. L'ambiente ricorda le trattorie anni '70 che danno un'aria semplice e familiare e che purtroppo stanno scomparendo. Il personale, sicuramente cambiato, è però sempre attento, cordiale e veloce. Riguardo l'offerta : l'antipasto, fatto di vari stuzzichini, è sempre decisamente buono, come i salumi abbondanti (spalla cotta, crudo, salame e coppa) con i soliti quadretti di torta fritta con cui è facile fare un boccone "farcito". Tra i tre primi molto apprezzati sono stati i tortelli con ripieno di burrata, piatto insolito, ma veramente molto buono, anche il risotto con scamorza e salamella molto buono con una cottura per noi ottima, i gnocchetti con salsa di rapa rossa, a detta di mia moglie e dei nostri ospiti, anche molto buoni (a me la rapa rossa non piace per cui è il loro giudizio). Da notare che sono possibili anche i bis, che tra l'altro abbiamo fatto. Abbiamo visto passare vassoi di lessi con del cotechino, ma a questo punto abbiamo detto ...basta per lasciare un posticino al dolce : un cestino di cialda con gelato alla panna e fragole molto gradito da tutti. Confermo : porzioni equilibrate, piatti saporiti e qualità decisamente buona e da ultimo una buona bottiglia di Lambrusco della casa. L'unica cosa che avrei voluto trovare, non più il menù a voce ma scritto, la scelta sarebbe stata più facile e ...... ponderata. Prezzo onesto e prenotazione consigliata.
