Forkette In Verona

I had lunch at this pizzeria on a Sunday in February. Very good pizza, top-notch ingredients! Wide selection, from classic to gourmet, plus some unique options. Quiet atmosphere. Excellent staff!

An honest take on places like Forkette. The branding around “organic” and “attention to detail” clearly supports higher prices, and some of the experience feels carefully engineered – yes, black pepper on the beer foam 🍺, more for Instagram than for flavor. That said, the dough is genuinely different. High hydration and special flours make it lighter and easier to digest, without the usual heavy feeling. We tried the “Very Nice” pizza, and it was genuinely very nice, tasty and unlike mainstream pizzerias. For context, a pizza and a beer came to €22.5. If this feels like too much theater, there are plenty of simpler places where the focus is just on good pizza.
