I was a friend's guest, and it was a great surprise. The fish was very high quality, and the waiters were courteous and very knowledgeable. The location is beautiful, with a dedicated seating area. The prices are reasonable for Milan's main square, considering the quality.

I went there after hearing so much about it, and it lived up to expectations.
We mostly ordered cooked dishes: truly spectacular first courses; order the creamed risotto and you won't regret it! The grilled scorpion fish with cacciatore sauce, part of the daily special, was also delicious.
Beautiful and well-kept location, fast and friendly service, without being too formal.
The price was fair for the quality: it's expensive, but it's worth it.

As a restaurateur, I think it's the most interesting seafood place in Milan.
Even though it's far from where we live, we always enjoy coming here.
The staff is attentive, friendly, and attentive, without ever being intrusive.
Eating with the subtle aroma of grilled fish wafting gently through your mouth is incredible.
We recommend the raw fish, of course, and if you're lucky enough to find it, the Garusoli ragù.

A truly memorable experience at Food Writers in Milan.
Here, the fish isn't just incredibly fresh: it's the absolute star, crafted with meticulous technique and enhanced by creative and unexpected pairings. Each dish has its own identity, balance, and distinct personality. The wine list is also excellent: extensive, refined, and perfectly crafted to complement the experience. There's a wide selection of champagnes.
The tuna and lard brioche is sensational: a brilliant balance of sea and land, where the softness of the brioche and the elegant fattiness of the lard meet the freshness and savory flavor of the tuna. A mouthful that lingers.
Special mention goes to the Perla del Delta, a simply extraordinary oyster: farmed in the Scardovari lagoon using the solar tide method, which simulates the tides naturally and sustainably, it develops a crunchy texture and a unique flavor, first iodine-rich and then surprisingly sweet. A pure experience.
The red corba is also exceptional, a rare and prized fish with firm, intense flesh, enhanced by refined pairings like huancaina, which amplifies its character without overpowering it. An elegant and perfectly balanced dish.
Price-wise, considering the wine chosen was a 2013 vintage, I'd say it's more than fair. The tartare dish was already very substantial.
From start to finish, a gastronomic journey of the highest caliber. Food Writers is more than just a restaurant: it's an experience worth every single dish.

A place with a personality all its own, both in terms of ambiance and menu.
First, a shout-out to the staff, whose expertise and excellent manners are evident.
One of the house specialties is the grilled clams, served with a very musty spaghetti with a distinct seafood flavor. The mussels, as an appetizer, offer the same flavor. I wouldn't miss either.
But the menu is wide-ranging and never boring.
Very interesting, well done, we'll keep you company.

I finally had the chance to try this restaurant, and I must say I was truly amazed!
The quality of the food, especially the fish, is excellent, and I really appreciated the variety of options: carefully prepared dishes, with both classic and more unusual combinations. I had the opportunity to try several and thoroughly enjoyed them all.
Another strong point is definitely the professionalism of the attentive and knowledgeable waiters.
I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for high-quality fish at an excellent price.
