Rain mixed with snow.
Cold.
The lit door invites you to take refuge in the warmth. Luck is on our side. There's room for two, despite a fortunate cancellation (reservations are required). I can't adequately describe this charming little restaurant, because it's a place full of details and perfectly fitted details. The smiling manager explains the menu, which appears like a delicate watercolor in his hands. Hand-cut prosciutto, aged for a long time. The fat is nectar that melts and blends with the bread. I give in to the lure of truffles with ancient grains. I understand the meaning of the watercolor precisely because the food releases a thousand colors of flavor in my mouth. A glass of ruby-red Sagrantino and, to finish, dessert. A tart. No, THE tart.
Everything is sublime.
Everything.
The music, the atmosphere, the food, the service, the stick of palo santo in the bathroom. Congratulations to everyone!

Intimate, very welcoming place.
Excellent quality food, friendly and welcoming staff. It was a truly enjoyable dinner and a wonderful discovery. If we're ever in the area again, we'd definitely eat here again.

Dishes that fully respect the flavors of the ingredients, which are enhanced by a combination of perfectly balanced elements.
Flavors that evoke aromas that bring to mind places and the magic of certain dishes are the experience I love when I evaluate a restaurant.
Here, EVERY dish is executed to perfection, and this gives a more than clear idea of the level of quality one can experience in this temple of excellence.

He's the absolute master of the tiny but extremely tricky dining room, as everything he does is executed to a level of absolute excellence.
He opens the experience by explaining how he produces his spectacular cured meats.
We begin with an appetizer that alone deserves a star: a charcuterie platter of almost unrivaled quality.
The ultimate was a creamy porcini mushroom soup, buffalo mozzarella, and black truffle...uncinato.
It was literally sublime.
We continued with Strancozzi with black truffle and oxtail stew...words are meaningless!
From Guglielmo and Sara's passion, something truly unique was born, and as we know, when love and passion merge, the result can only be excellent.
A perfect symposium of flavors and aromas that inebriate the senses, the heart, and the soul.
The incredible balance of each dish is further enhanced by the spectacular skill of those who use their talent in the kitchen.
Every dish served was a culmination of flavor.
The texture of the exquisitely cooked pasta was perfect.
The red wine was excellent.
Delicate, fresh, firm, and with a persistent depth on the palate and a decisive finish, it pushes all the flavors with every bite, blending perfectly with the ingredients.
In the glass, it strikes with its intense and vibrant color.
On the nose, the aromas evoke the scents of Matera.
The desserts were the highlight.
They were literally divine.
The common denominator of each dish was the perfect symbiosis of flavors, aromas, and above all, the ingredients, masterfully combined.
What can I say...I'll be back to try more dishes.
Kudos to this wonderful place and its people, who, with passion, love, and skill, manage to make everyone who decides to enter their delightful little place happy.
For me, it's become home; it's a deep and warm embrace, like a mother's, that I'll find every time I enter.
