Food was good. I wish they had more cider options other then just the one for a irish bar. Waiters were very busy but did try to keep up. I also don't understand why every restaurant let's pushy street sales people go to every table to try and sell cheap crap and disturb our meals.

The first restaurant we ate at upon arriving in Rome. Homemade pastrami and a pizza parmigiana, both very good. We went back for an Irish breakfast. Excellent. And the waiter was very friendly too.

Decided to swing by this bar to get some food and drinks. They had a moderate selection of beers. The wings were great, and the energy was happy. Music was fun, general feel from the crowd that was attracted was super chill. There was plenty of seating. The staff did seem a bit frazzled and distracted. It was the first place we have been to in Rome where our server asked us to tip, they definitely attract an American crowd.

We had a delightful meal and our waiter Christian was a blast. My wife loved the service so much she wants to come here tonight for drinks with our friends.

03/05/2026: We had a set menu dinner with a car rally. Delicious food. Superb carbomatriciana and incredibly tender roast beef. The owner, Walter, does his job with professionalism, kindness, and a natural charm. We spent three days in and around Albano, and the best cuisine was his. See you next time!
14/03/2026: Highly recommended, authentic, well-cooked food. Friendly, helpful staff. Have lunch and... ask for a free amaro, suggested by me, and they'll oblige, remembering me.

Rifugio al Vecchio Fienile

15/03/2026: Last night I was in Genzano with 10 other friends for a training course, and we made a last-minute reservation at this restaurant: we ate divinely! As a vegan, I especially appreciated the thoughtfulness of their efforts to prepare something original and delicious for me...which is definitely not a given. The location is truly unique, and the staff is friendly and welcoming! A truly wonderful discovery!
16/02/2026: A family Sunday... This is what my partner and I spent yesterday in this magical little corner. It was our first time, but with the owners, it was as if we had known each other for years. Hospitality, friendliness, and a very characteristic atmosphere. The food? Well, even though we had just had breakfast, we didn't miss a thing, from the superlative appetizer (made with quality products), to the homemade pasta with flavorful yet delicate wild boar ragù, to the Roman braciola. And then what do you do? Not having a dessert? That amaretto semifreddo... truly TOP. We'll make sure to be in the area some other time, because we know where to stop. See you soon.
