We have often eaten in Finisterrae, both lunches and dinners. The location and setting right on Santa Croce square, with the coming and going of this top historic piazza in Florence , is a huge plus. There is an outdoor terrace for summer dining, and numerous individually decorated and styled rooms inside. The rooms have excellent A/C, and the patio in summer has misters to cool. The quality of the food is outstanding, a main reason to go! All very fresh and local, tasty, attractive, decent portions, and a good varied menu. Very reasonable prices. Excellent wines by the glass. The staff, waiters especially head waiter Andrea, and Boss Colin are SO friendly and accommodating, and really do go out of their way to make you feel welcome and happy. There is an attached bar for wonderful gelato and drinks if desired. As a long time visitor to Florence, for me, it is THE best place to eat in Florence!!! AND it won't break the bank!!! DO go.

Unforgettable dinner in front of Piazza Santa Croce. Excellent pizzas, I recommend the pizza with yellow tomatoes, provolone and raw ham. Good price for being in the center of Florence.

Perfectly. Unfortunately, I was only there twice in the morning for breakfast, because I discovered the place late. If you want to experience the perfect morning Florentine atmosphere with locals and great pastries in a wonderful place, go here.

The food was fine. The staff got my order completely wrong even after discussing their options first. It was frustrating but an okay experience.
