Felice In Roma

5 of us went for dinner on Sunday evening. Many of the dishes on the menu were missing. For example, Roman lamb was missing. Artichokes were missing. Beans and other things were missing. The high prices (10 euros for a (one in number) Roman-style artichoke... that is, 20,000 lire in the old coinage... 10 euros for a tiramisu served in a hideous not even decorated glass. One of us had eaten much more than the others and wanted to pay separately first in order to make everyone else pay in the Roman way. The owner at the checkout says that it can't be done, that it can only be done in the Roman way for a software discussion. At which point we made a joke about how he deals with the Germans, who in those cases they call the police. At that point the owner made the bill separately

Book in advance and very well, we really liked their salads and typical dishes.

We stopped by for a quick lunch and, despite it being close to closing time, we were welcomed with courtesy and helpfulness. It was not possible to have first courses, given the late hour, and ... we ate excellent fried breaded lamb and very good meatballs with sauce. They don't have draft beer, but the bottled ones are all of a high standard. The staff is friendly and efficient. Prices are above average. Sooner or later we'll come back to try the other proposals.

If you want to eat divinely at Felice in Testaccio you have to make a stop. My work colleague and I were very happy with the family welcome, even with the same waiter Juppi who was very friendly and helpful to our requests. See you soon for sure.

This was a favorite some years ago, but seems like the quality got down and the price went high. Went from local fav to tourist trap. They even want us to go out as fast as possible for the next table

My little tradition is to go there when I'm in Rome to enjoy cacio e Pepe, but you have to book in advance!

Cibo delizioso, personale giovane e dinamico.

Stefano Simone e Simone ci hanno accolti come sempre Una garanzia per la qualità del cibo e la tradizione della cucina romana Visto che il tempo era favorevole, abbiamo scelto di mangiare fuori in terrazza. Siamo stati benissimo.

Molta apparenza e poca sostanza. Potrei anche fermarmi qua. Locale a Testaccio tra i più famosi di Roma, quotato anche a Milano dove ha aperto la succursale (branch milanese...in gergo). Non oso immaginare i prezzi a Milano visto quanto abbiamo speso per due piatti di pasta. Ma partiamo dall'inizio. Dietro la porta una signora alla cassa che non saluta e non sorride nemmeno quando si paga (...con quello che si paga...dico...). Subito dopo un signore vestito da cameriere con un portatile in mano che verifica le prenotazioni e distribuisce i clienti ai tavoli. Al tavolo si avvicendano camerieri sbrigativi e poco cordiali, ma tanto il pezzo forte è il cibo. Quindi un bel piatto di gricia che la cameriera "prepara" alla consegna del piatto: sapore normale, quantità giusta, consistenza ok. Il mio socio romano ha preso una pasta Felice meno entusiasmante per sapore e quantità: shrinkflaction anche a Roma. Non sazi prendiamo due carciofi: grandi come un mandarino, i carciofi di Felice si sciolgono in bocca come quelli del discount e quindi ne prendiamo altri due raccomandando il cameriere. Ne arrivano due ancora più piccoli ed insapore dei primi. Desistiamo. Locale ampio e post moderno. Molto rumoroso anche perché ne sedie ne tavoli hanno i gommini. Per ovviare al rumore ci sono pannelli insonorizzati al soffitto e ... il buon vecchio plexiglass formato paratie residuo del tempo di COVID. Ma non basta. Nella media é il mio giudizio ma non consiglio né per qualità né per prezzo, né per servizio.
