I recommend if you go to Orvieto, a nice place, among other things, an excellent aperitif

Excellent bar/bistro in the center of Orvieto, the wide choice of gins is also excellent.

I asked if they had a wine list and the waitress said they didn’t. When I ducked inside I’d noticed prosecco mentioned on a chalk board inside at a cost of 5 euro so we both ordered one each. However the bill listed them as 6 euro each. I pointed to the board with the cost and said we understood the price to be 5 euro. The waitress simply said “no that’s wrong”. Just very bizarre and I couldn’t be bothered arguing such a small amount. Without a wine list with prices perhaps worth clarifying prices to avoid the same situation. The setting is otherwise beautiful and the Prosecco was nice. **Just noticed the owner’s comment - we visited on 22 October 2024 and it was FEBO. For anyone reading, take a look at old mate’s responses to any negative reviews before you consider visiting.

We stopped for a cocktail. Nice vibe and furniture, nice cocktails, kind bartenders giving advice on drinks. Waiters somewhat less welcoming.

It presents itself as a place that combines tradition and contemporaneity - and so it is. An original lunch. We ate gnocchi (very soft) with wild boar ragù and a dusting of cocoa; the hamburger with excellent bread, local veal, chicory, peanuts - we would have avoided the peanuts, it didn't seem to add anything to the dish.

I stopped for an aperitif and dinner. An excellent Spritz, followed by a tasty appetizer and an Amatriciana like few of which I have eaten. Excellent venue and perfect service.

It’s quite hard to get better napoli pizza than being in napoli, right? Well, think twice about it. This place is the best of Napoli, period!
