Sophia's Restaurant In Milano

10/05/2025: Simply outstanding. The staff were professional, attentive and warm. The decor was refined and provided a suitable backdrop to the food and impeccable service. The food was outstanding and inventive without being contrived. Every dish made sense and was in harmony but still managed to surprise. The quality of the ingredients was clear and the flavors were balanced and robust. The teams was incredibly accommodating to our vegetarian and pescatarian guests and modified the tasting menu with a smile and deft hand. A deep and fairly priced wine list with a knowledgeable and friendly sommelier added to the experience. Our table had a view of the kitchen and it was a delight to watch the team perform a culinary ballet. The chefs both spent time with us and were charismatic and genuine. I am hard pressed to remember a meal as fondly as this except thinking back to Bouley in the late 90s. I would not hesitate to go back and would plan a trip to Milan simply to dine here again. Bravo!
