The place is small, intimate, and welcoming. The wine selection is extensive, the food is excellent, the service is friendly, and it's a great experience. The only downside is that the prices aren't listed on the menu, but they're what you'd expect from a place of this caliber.

At first, we weren’t even sure we’d come to the right place - from the entrance, it looks like there’s only a bar. But don’t be fooled! Once you walk in, you’ll find cozy tables and an inviting atmosphere. The pasta and steak were absolutely delicious. This is not a tourist trap at all, but a true hidden gem. Highly recommend!

Was skeptical the place was even open and had to walk by twice to be sure, but glad We went in. Menu was very simple but food was tasty, warm and hit the spot. Wine was ok but found the pours lacking in comparison to price. Mindful that prices don’t exist until the bill comes

16/02/2026: A trattoria where you can immerse yourself in the traditional flavors of Trieste, surrounded by a cozy atmosphere. We started dinner with frico and a cheese platter: the frico was good, although we've tried better, but the variety of cheeses and the homemade apple and pepper compote were excellent. The variety of bread served is noteworthy, especially the onion one (it's a shame there was only one left, because it was truly delicious!). The real highlight of the evening, however, was the strucoli in straza: a fresh pasta dish with ricotta and a savory and flavorful cabbage cream. A first course I highly recommend! Super friendly staff.
