Enoteca Grotta del Brunello In Montalcino

Premetto che dopo 3 giorni di cibo pressoché mediocre in Val d’Orcia, poco autentico, abbiamo finalmente trovato un ristorante/enoteca dove ogni piatto è particolarmente curato e gustoso, non banale. Complimenti anche per la varietà: non solo chianina e pecorino, (che sinceramente ci uscivano dagli occhi!) Piatti anche per vegetariani. Brunello ovviamente superbo, possibilità di fare una degustazione durante il pasto e poterlo poi acquistare, senza nessuna pressione! Perfetto!!

We stumbled upon this place as we were in the area and wanted to try brunello wine. We were surprised when we were taken to a table inside and the place was quite fancy and stylish, different to the casual and relaxed vibe of the outside. We tried the wild boar papardelle, pici cacio e pepe and did a tasting of 3 wines. The food and wines were delicious and all very reasonable for the price. I wish we had been able to try more things from the menu, but we were just passing through Montalcino. Glad we found this place!

Located in the center of Montalcino. We ate Pici Cacio e Pepe, good but not excellent, and Pappardelle al Cinghiale, excellent. Beautiful and characteristic environment, with lots of wine to choose from.

Had a nice lunch with good advice from the staff. Had a delicious Brunello Riserva with it. Service also speaks good English.

Beautiful location, it feels like being inside a cave with modern twists. Very good food! We were very satisfied with the dinner.

Very rich and at a good price. They also close later than the rest, something that if you are Spanish you appreciate if you don't always want to have dinner at 8:30 p.m.

Unfortunately the service let down our experience. We were eager to visit on our first night in Montalcino although felt like we were very much not wanted by one of the waiters. We arrived before dinner and wanted an apperitivo (and maybe dinner but werent sure) we were told we coulsnt sit on any of the 6 free tables outside, so we went inside and instead opted for a wine tasting. Unfortunately we hardly received any info and annoyance was expressed at receiving qns, so as not to bother we asked for the wifi pw so we could look up the wine ourselves but were told that the wifi was broken (after seeing another waiter give another table the wifi). The food looked good but we decided to go elsewhere.

Quality of food, delightful environment and very kind staff

A beautifully decorated restaurant, the staff is too kind. The food is excellent. They even called a taxi themselves because it started to rain heavily outside.

Gostei do que eles chamam sopa de tomate, que na verdade é uma pasta de tomate tipo molho de macarrão com burrata, também o penne al pomodoro gostoso, atendimento bom
