Elefante Restaurant In Verona

23/03/2026: On Sunday, we went to the Giazza spring to get water and took the opportunity to stroll along the stream, planning to stop for lunch at Osteria Alla Busa. We'd read good reviews, and some time ago, passersby had raved about this place, especially its specialty: trout. The restaurant is in a somewhat isolated location; it's rustic but very charming, with a welcoming atmosphere and beautiful tables. There's no printed menu: the dishes are explained directly by the waitress. For the first course, I chose the mountain gnocchi, while my partner skipped the first course because all the dishes included onion, to which she's intolerant. For the second course, we both had the trout, accompanied by fries and polenta. Personally, I wasn't thrilled with the mountain gnocchi: in my opinion, they were too salty. The trout, on the other hand, were very good. As for the side dishes, the fries were too greasy; According to my partner, they were probably dipped in oil before it was hot enough. I thought the polenta was okay, but she thought it was too salty. We asked for mayonnaise for the fries, and it was brought to us without any problems. To finish, we had a slice of homemade Russian pie: truly excellent, no complaints. We added a bottle of water and two coffees, for a total of €47.50.

15/11/2025: The cuisine is excellent, exceptional. The welcome is impeccable. The prices are fair. I can't wait to come back!
