Here I am back after 1 year,
My girlfriend had the pesto pasta which was always amazing.
However, for a change I went for the lasagna...disappointed, really it was nothing exceptional (for the Swiss it's comparable to those from Findus...)
For lasagna I do not recommend 0⭐

Very friendly staff.
The food was very good, but the portions of the pasta dishes were a bit larger.

Nice restaurant with good fish. A bit expensive but you sit right on the beach so it is to be expected. We had the octopus and salmon to start followed by the grilled squid. Each were made very well and super tasty. The portions were a bit small for the mains but overall good and I would come again. The staff were very friendly

Eat lunch with the family. We were very well received. Smiling waiter and very friendly manager. The dishes were very good and met our expectations. Fish, mussels and melon ham.

Seafront restaurant with live music evenings, well what can I say...
Really excellent food, we ate lobster tagliolini with trumpet courgettes and local cherry tomatoes!!! All accompanied with a pleasant pigato from Albenga. Focaccia as bread is really something illegal... Beautiful desserts, delicious and super balanced in taste! Super pleasant evening spent, definitely worth returning as a fixed stop every year!
Absolutely underrated with 3.9 stars.
I absolutely recommend!!

So at 3.9, El Galeon is grossly underrated compared to other local restaurants. In this perspective they should have a 4.3. That's why you get a 5 from me to increase the average a little 🤓

Kindness, helpfulness and friendliness. 3 characteristics that make the context favorable for enjoying the delicacies served at the table. Focaccia offered by the house. We ordered a raw fish appetizer for 2 and a mixed grill each with french fries on the side. Wine: rosé (see photo)

It was getting late ( for lunch ) and we were all very hungry, and with our favourite places in Alassio full, we fell into El Galeon. In fairness, a good location overlooking the beach, and when our food eventually arrived it was okay to the point of being reasonably good but the service was appallingly bizarre. We almost had to beg to get a bottle of wine from the wine list; how difficult can it be to understand GAVI when pointing to it on the list. We had to resort to going to look for it inside the main part of the restaurant. It was found & enjoyed but as with the entire lunch hardly worth the effort. Avoid.
