Eataly In Pinerolo

When we happen to be in Pinerolo we always happily take a lunch break at Eatitaly. The food is good (a bit expensive in fact) and the location is nice. Today, however, two strange things happened: the first is that in the salad ordered by my wife, mixed with the valerian and the mixed salad, there was also a paper ball the size, to give an idea, of a paper tissue (hopefully not used). Unfortunately we only noticed it at the end. We reported the matter to the staff behind the counter (where we were sitting) who expressed an apology that was, to say the least, not even remotely heartfelt! The second strange thing is that when it came to paying, and it was not our intention to not pay for the dish ordered, not even two words of displeasure or, I don't know, two coffees offered. It's not about money but I think that a little courtesy and kindness towards customers is never out of place ..... but maybe it's enough that they only bring the money and a lot of it. Disappointment!

Organized an evening with friends, unfortunately we were not satisfied with the service, due to the long wait, 35 minutes passed before we could order and then we waited about an hour to start eating... after finishing the tagliata with potatoes the bread arrived. My friend, after eating bruschetta, had to ask why after an hour and a half his tagliata had not arrived yet! As for the food, the tagliata was really small for the price paid (more than €20) and hard, while the pizza was normal. However, I was impressed by the customer service who contacted me to apologize for what happened and offer me a discount. We went back and tried the appetizers, the first course was again the tagliata which this time was very good. Congratulations

The quality of the food and the kindness of the staff cannot be discussed, but for some dishes the portions are truly tiny compared to the price. For example, for 24.90 euros you can't have a tiny square of cod with two artichokes on your plate... even if it's delicious.

Congratulations to Mrs. Sonia who welcomes diners with kindness and professionalism at the Pinerolo headquarters. Excellent quality food excellently prepared. Absolutely an experience worth living.

I understand that Italy deals with the best of Italian products but some of the same brands on sale in stores other than Italy have much more convenient prices.

Anche in questo caso mi riferisco al punto vendita e non alla ristorazione, dato che il negozio non è presente in maniera autonoma. Ci sono tornato sabato scorso dopo alcuni anni e, pur non essendo grande come altri punti vendita presenti in altre città (ho in mente Eataly Smeraldo di Milano, che frequento spesso) abbiamo trovato ampio assortimento di prodotti, anche locali. Infatti abbiamo comperato, oltre a delle uova freschissime, un vermouth particolare che a Milano è reperibile difficilmente e che è veramente buono. Torneremo ancora, quando passeremo di qui.

Siamo stati ieri sera (26/10/24) per una cena in Famiglia. Si salva solo la qualità del cibo. Il servizio lentissimo, ordinazioni arrivate non come richiesto (tonnarelli cacio e pepe diventati mezze maniche cacio e pepe) la giustificazione è stata’forse erano finiti i tonnarelli’ !!! Da eataly? Con scaffali pieni di pasta di ogni tipo! FINITI??? Ok, ma me lo dici e io scelgo se mi vanno bene le mezze maniche !! Intercettare un cameriere quasi un’impresa perché eravamo in una stanzetta al primo piano e non c’era passaggio di camerieri. E lo capisco benissimo perché il personale era troppo scarso per tutta la gente che c’era! Questi ragazzi si prendono la pelle ma sono sempre sorridenti. Bravi! Le pizze sarebbero state ottime…peccato che erano fredde, troppo fredde!! Salvo non poter distinguere le ‘crocchiarelle’ dalle normali. Non scrocchiava un bel niente!!! I dessert ottimi. Non credo sia un locale da frequentare nei weekend, forse il lunedì??? Non do giudizi, ma conosco e frequento molti altri locali decisamente più piacevoli ed organizzati in cui cenare!
