Tourist trap.
Nice restaurant but the prices are a little high for the quality of the food. In addition to the excessive cost of the courses, the prices of the drinks are also absurd: a bottle (I don't remember if 0.75 or 1l) costs 3 euros complete with a public fountain in the same square.

Il ristorante è situato in una caratteristica piazzetta
Il menu proposto è basico senza nulla di interessante come purtroppo la realizzazione
Per il resto tempi di attesa e conto giusti

Don't take the raw seafood starter: 2 scampi, 2 prawns, 1 oyster and a small tuna tartare: 30 euros.
As if that wasn't enough, a room without air conditioning inside and outside, the umbrellas, even in the evening, create a hood of heat. I won't go back.

Fantastic food at very reasonable prices. Beautiful atmosphere in the piazza. Seafood is fresh and cooked expertly. Nice and cool as you are at the top of a mountain.

Very kind staff, excellent location and characteristic as it is the main square of the famous film "Welcome to the South". Nice atmosphere and amazing food! Especially worth trying are the porcini mushroom crepes and the decomposed cream/amerene. To redo !

June 2024. Luciano's death is painful, we are loyal customers and appreciated Luciano's love and professionalism, the true driving force of the restaurant. A loss for the square.
August 2023. We positively evaluate the sea and land menu where in addition to the traditional dishes we find particular first courses (Risotto Punta Tresino and fresh pasta with pesto, lemon, burrata and pistachio). The prices are not crazy as you see around now (40 per person x 2 courses each, water and dessert). The location is characteristic in the town square with outdoor tables and in the internal rooms with pleasant furnishings and mis en place. the staff very courteous, helpful and efficient with Luciano who enchants customers with his stories and the presentation of the dishes and relationship with the clts.
ABSOLUTELY RECOMMENDED but not on red flag days. Reservations are necessary and I recommend arriving at the restaurant max 8/8.30pm.

Located as you enter the square, the only one with tables outside.
Friendly, smiling and welcoming staff, their land dishes are excellent.
Delicious ricotta ravioli with lemon sauce, paccheri castellani with sauce with smoked scamorza, and crepes with mushrooms.
As an appetizer, VERY GOOD, 4 of the chef's fantasies. The Cetarian frying is also excellent.
Excellent service, friendly, polite and helpful staff, prices are average.
The only flaw is that it is inconvenient for disabled people because you have to go downstairs.

We had dinner in this restaurant taking advantage of one of their fixed menu formulas (starter + first course) for €30. We liked the food and the staff is very friendly. Prices in line with the area. I recommend it for a stop in the beautiful Castellabate 👍🏻☀️

We stopped for a quick lunch after visiting the town.
Being in the main square, it is evident that it is a very touristy place (the typical place that I would usually avoid) but being an off-season day it was not very crowded and we were won over by the tables in the square, even if we did not have high expectations of the food .
I must say, however, that we had to change our minds, we ordered 2 first courses and they were very good, especially the spaghetti with clams and lemon zest.
