DeVinum Wine Bistrot In Peschici

Located in a narrow alley in the historic center of Peschici, this is an excellent choice for those seeking traditional cuisine with a more refined twist. You can choose between a tasting menu or the à la carte menu. DeVinum offers a wide selection of wines and the staff is friendly. Reservations are also available using The Fork app.

We returned after a few years, remembering the food was excellent. The appetizers are undoubtedly their highlight, in my opinion: unique, interesting, and above all, delicious. The idea of ​​giving out bread to sample the olive oil on sale was also a great one, as was the taralli and olives to nibble on. I'm not giving it five stars because I really didn't like the orecchiette with mussels and lupini beans; they were floating in the water. I'm not sure if that was the chef's choice, but in any case, that dish was a complete flop. Prices are medium to high, but in line with other restaurants in Peschici.

My wife and I came to De Vinum on our honeymoon looking for a special supper experience, and it is rare indeed for a meal to so completely live up to and exceed those expectations. Roberto was such a wonderful and attentive front-of-house, and Rocco delivered to us a 5 course meal we won't forget. The wine pairing was fantastic, and the gamberri rosso was quite possibly the single best bite of seafood I've had til now. If you're in Peschici, it's not even a question of having a meal at De Vinum, it's a must!

We were actually just looking for a place to eat after 21:30 and coincidentally ended up at this hidden gem in the heart of Peschici — and what a lucky discovery it was. From the very first moment, the waiter and Chef Rocco Lamargese welcomed us with incredible warmth and hospitality, even though it was already quite late. They hosted us with such passion and generosity that we ended up enjoying an unforgettable fine dining experience until after midnight. The food is refined, creative and made with truly high-quality ingredients. Every dish we tried was outstanding, and the wine recommendation was a perfect match. Without any doubt our favourite restaurant in Peschici, maybe even whole Gargano!

Interesting but not quite there. First of all, when you're a sommelier, which you claim to be, you explain what you're offering and let people taste it; that's the bare minimum. Then, the main course was prawns with no side dishes and very little explanation. Finally, dessert was whipped cream in a tartlet shell. It wasn't very indulgent. I was a guest, so I refrained from commenting. But being the only table dining, I expected you to express your expertise more, both in the presentation of the food and in the wine suggestions and explanations. For me, it left much to be desired in many respects, but since I was invited by a friend, I refrained from commenting out of politeness towards him and the overly quick service. Holidays are a timeless experience, especially when there's no one else around.

The food was excellent, the owner and staff were very kind. I recommend the spaghetti with clams and the tuna tartare. Generous portions. We also received a complimentary tasting of the Gargano olive oils. The place is very well-kept and welcoming. Highly recommended. Well done!
