Four stars because we had to wait 40 minutes… they can't help that there are so many people in the city, but it detracts from the experience… best to come with friends and drink a glass of wine while you wait.

Always the best sandwiches in Milan. The place may be small (but beautiful because it's always remained the same)....It will be crowded, so you might have to wait a bit...but the sandwiches are magnificent! All made fresh, with excellent quality ingredients and a truly wide selection. It's pricey...but worth it. The staff is friendly and helpful. This sandwich shop is a piece of old Milan...the one of yesteryear, authentic, less frenetic than today's. A well-deserved 5 stars.

We discovered De Santis years ago, and whenever we visit Milan, we make a point of stopping here. The food is delicious, the ingredients are excellent, and the service is fantastic.

16/03/2026: A homey atmosphere, friendly staff who know every dish on offer, and more than fair prices. Finally, traditional cuisine without unnecessary extravagance, given the basic ingredients. Worth repeating.
26/02/2026: This is an excellent little spot. I felt like I stepped into an Italian kitchen to have a home cooked meal better than any home cooked meal this American has ever had. Service was friendly and delightful, and the pistachio pasta was decadent. Best cannoli I’ve ever had for dessert.
