Simple but very satisfying place Unique fried cod fillets!!

A historic place in Rome in Piazza Santa Barbara behind Campo dei Fiori, if it were on the outskirts it obviously wouldn't have the success it has, good fillets, even if they were better years ago, average prices, waiters always very friendly

Limited menu, but fried cod and wonderful atmosphere...

Spartan place, but tidy and clean, fast and professional service, amazing cod fillets and chicory salad. Advised!

A truly UNIQUE place. Experience to do where you can eat an excellent cod fillet with chicory in a typical Roman atmosphere. I will return as soon as possible TOP!

Basic Roman Food in a great quality

Always the best place to enjoy a cod fillet! The main course is certainly this but not only. Beautiful quiet square ideal for an outdoor dinner in good weather

Old school atmosphere. If you're looking for a bit of Romanness, it's all here. The place offers: fried cod fillets, fried courgettes, Roman chicory (also without garlic if desired), anchovies with butter, burrata and little else. The must obviously are the cod fillets, goodness! There is always a lot of people, there are some seats outside in the pizzeria, inside and otherwise take away and go. The frying is done very well and I loved the Roman chicory, we didn't have the wine but the couple next to us were not at all enthusiastic about the house wine... I recommend a fillet each because it is quite important, we also took the fried courgettes, but they were really too much. Service: fast and if you are sitting inside you will even have a laugh. Alas, the place setting is a paper placemat (and that's fine) and the napkin is also made of paper like the tablecloth (this is the only flaw I found). Advise.

Love their golden fried cod, fresh & tender. Once you step into this little eatery, you will be greeted with the nicest fried cod smell. White wine is poured out of a “cupboard” pardon my ignorance but this is so eye-opening to me.
