The photo appears to have been taken from a ferry departing from Naples, Italy, heading for the island of Ischia. The island of Ischia is a volcanic island located at the northern end of the Gulf of Naples, about 30 kilometers from the city of Naples. It is known for its mild climate, picturesque scenery and numerous thermal mineral springs, making it a popular health and relaxation destination. There are regular ferry services from Naples to Ischia, with the journey usually taking about 50 minutes. The island is the largest of the Phlegraean Islands and is known as the "Green Island" due to its lush vegetation. 11/17/2025 — The island was known to the Greeks as Pithecusa (probably meaning “island of monkeys”) and to the Romans as Aenaria. It's almost three years since you've lived on this island, and I have to say it never ceases to amaze me.

An unexpected beauty and charm you'll meet there. Very green island with plenity of choices to do. From swimming in the blue waters to walks on the beautiful streets full of coloured ceramics art. Lots of flowers and palms are everywhere.

Beautiful place. A taxi boat ride along the coast is a must. With Mr. Migele, a charming character. Round trip to Santangelo. Then, explore the castle and see Aragon Castle. Etc. Very beautiful place.

Beautiful island! Definitely worth a visit. We still had great weather in mid-October. Small streets to explore, lively towns, especially in the evening. Delicious food. Totally in love ❤️

Ristorante Taverna Verde

06/04/2026: If you come to Ischia and want to eat authentic Ischian rabbit, you absolutely must go to "Taverna Verde da Morzariello"! As soon as we entered, Mr. Ernesto greeted us and made us feel right at home. The rabbit was cooked in a terracotta pot, and we had homemade fettuccine with the sauce. For sides, we had zucchini alla scapece and French fries, and for dessert, the classic Ischian caprese... it was a continuous explosion of deliciousness and high quality. Absolutely brilliant.
05/04/2026: If you're looking for old-fashioned cuisine and the Ischian specialty, "Signor Coniglio," this is the place you can't miss. The old-school location and the SERIOUS service from the excellent hosts make you feel like part of the family. The food is truly stellar; you'll almost expect your grandmother to emerge from the kitchen and ask how your meal turned out.

'A Tiàna Tipica Napoletana

20/04/2026: A truly wonderful traditional Italian restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious, full of authentic flavors, the service was impeccable so kind, attentive, and always with a smile even though they didn’t speak good English, we felt surrounded by warmth and genuine hospitality. Definitely a place I would visit again! P.S. I was wearing a white outfit, and the sweet lady there rushed to cover me with a bib and a napkin so I wouldn’t get stained, just like my mom or grandma would do! Such a thoughtful and heartwarming touch.
12/04/2026: What a lovely surprise, a truly Neapolitan trattoria! To understand the name: "'a tiàna" means "the pan or frying pan" in Neapolitan, and you immediately understand it when the dishes arrive, as you can see from the photos. Imma's welcome and kindness are fantastic; I felt right at home. We ordered the famous ziti alla genovese, which is definitely worth trying. It's truly delicious, perhaps among the best you can eat in Naples. We also had the mezzanelle lardiate, which was very good, a simple dish but full of flavor. The house red wine pairs beautifully with the dishes. For dessert, you can't leave without trying the lemon caprese, a typical local dish and truly well-made. And remember, the coffee served in a mini moka pot is a must; it's a lovely touch. If you like, the limoncello is also a good choice. Overall, it's a special, authentic place where you eat well and feel welcomed. Congratulations indeed.
