I stumbled upon this restaurant unplanned, but it was a pleasant discovery. The owners are a very kind couple with a passion for catering. The dishes were delicious, but the dessert was the perfect finishing touch. I highly recommend stopping here!

The food was very good but seriously 10€ per person "coperto"? Also, when you're out of the requested wine and the customer asks you for something similar, you are not suppose to bring a bottle which costs 2.5 times as much.

Fantastic place, family atmosphere, excellent and authentic food, friendly staff, I'm not giving 5 stars just because I'm a Roma fan and the chef is from Lazio... but we'll definitely be back!!

A small, cozy trattoria in an alleyway in Roccastrada.
We made a reservation the day before because we wanted to enjoy a Florentine steak.
The result was excellent 🥰
The service was very attentive and friendly.
The wines were delicious 🍷
The restaurant is highly recommended 😊

The strength of this place is its short menu, excellent dishes, and wonderful service. The restaurant's local feel makes you feel like you're dining at your beloved grandmother's. This is the essence of Tuscany, which is often simulated in large, touristy establishments, but here they don't pretend to be anything; they simply serve you true Italian love on a plate. During a week of dinners at Picio Matto, among all the exquisite specialties of artisanal Pici, made with special flours, we managed, after much courtship, to taste the excellent Pici aglio, olio e peperoncino, which was off the menu at the time. Not to mention the delicate Tagliata and Patrizia's delicious Tiramisu. Bravo!!!
