Recently went with our family, including two kids elementary aged, and our experience was good! Other reviews for taking kids here are very mixed, and I was worried because other reviews were not positive about the service, but we had a really nice experience with both the kids and the service. We sat outside, the staff was very friendly but it is a formal restaurant so I think some reviews are mistaking formality for snobbery, and that was not our experience. The staff were very kind to our kids and helped them order in Italian. The best part of Dal Bolognese is the dessert menu! It was the most extensive and delicious dessert menu, so many kudos to their pastry chef because it is apparent they have a true pastry chef. We agreed that for dinner the price was much higher compared to the other dinners we had in Rome that we felt were similarly delicious....but the desserts at Dal Bolognese were incomparable! Be sure to save room!

Shrimp risotto was anemic; didn't taste shrimps in it. Spaghetti tonnarelli had far too much pepper.

The food is exceptional and the ambience superb! You should have a reservation. We did not have a reservation and they let us in to sit outside but were very perturbed to serve us at first. The waiter warmed up to us and ended up great but it started shaky, we think because we didn’t have a reservation.

While in Rome, my husband and I made a reservation for 19:30 at Dal Bolognese. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the friendly staff. The restaurant was nearly empty, with only one other table occupied by a father and son. To our surprise, we were seated right next to them, despite the abundance of open tables.
When we asked to be moved to a more private spot, we were informed that the restaurant was fully booked for the evening. Sure enough, within about 30 minutes, the tables were filled!
The atmosphere was romantic, quaint, and quiet – perfect for a cozy dining experience.
My husband ordered the sea bass filet and I ordered the bolognese tortellini, which was hands down one of my favorite meals in Rome!
My husband loved the bolognese but found the sea bass too fishy and thought it didn’t pair well with the vegetables on his plate. I happily disagreed and finished both his fish and the veggies.
Overall, a fantastic dining experience with delicious food and a charming ambiance. Highly recommend making a reservation.

Unfortunately the cutlet was reduced by 2/3
Thanks, perhaps, to the change of management, but the cutlet was a small strip but the price remained the same at €30
Unfortunately we are not there!

Unfortunately it no longer has the quality it once did. Even an expired profiterol.

We had an amazing evening at Dal Bolognese! Despite a mix-up with our reservation for 14 people, they still managed to accommodate us on the spot. As a kind gesture, they even offered us complimentary aperitivo glasses. The service was exceptional—funny, welcoming, and professional.
At first, the atmosphere felt a bit stiff and quiet, but as more guests arrived, it became much more lively and enjoyable. The food was absolutely delicious! While it is on the pricier side, it’s definitely worth it for the experience of fine dining in Rome. Highly recommended!
