A special place where you can taste our traditional dishes prepared directly by the expert hands of Aunt Katia who obviously makes you feel like you are at home, a special praise for the excellent local wine.

Zia Katia is a restaurant in the heart of Messina that combines attention to detail and authenticity. The environment is welcoming and informal, with picnic-style checked tablecloths that give a rustic and familiar touch. The spaces are large, allowing you to dine and have lunch in complete tranquility.
One of the most particular aspects is the way in which the dishes are served: the pasta arrives directly in cooking pans, an original idea that makes the experience even more engaging. The meat skewers are very long and delicious, while each course is prepared with attention and quality ingredients.
The staff is courteous and helpful, always ready to advise with kindness. Prices are normal, balanced with respect to the quality and quantity of the portions.
We have been there several times and always had a great time. Zia Katia is a restaurant that we recommend to those looking for good food, a welcoming atmosphere and attentive service in the center of Messina.

Dinner with friends... the place is very nice and clean, it is located in the historic center of Messina, via Primo Settembre... expectations were high from the reviews read on the web.
We ordered skewers of both beef and pork chops, 24 rolls in total for a price of €32. I'm not discussing the price seen on the menu but the size is the taste (in my opinion) the beef ones are very dry.. better are the pork ones which are moister inside... the menu highlights that the rolls are served with salad and chips, (a tuft of songino and lettuce, and about ten potatoes) a platter of excellent quality cured meats and cheeses €16 in my opinion overpriced..pizza with bresaola and rocket (excellent bresaola), excellent tomato, but the dough was a consistent mix which overall I quite liked but didn't convince me.. very friendly and helpful staff, the service was very quick, but at the same time they respected the times between the starters and the rest of the courses, overall (in my opinion) the prices of what we consumed are not related to portion sizes. I don't doubt it, being aware of the management costs and raw materials of a restaurant in the centre.. but this is what I think. However, we will return for the fish which, in the opinion of those who have tried it, is of high quality.

Small restaurant located in the center of Messina. The home cooking is good, although lately I haven't been very happy, I've noticed little attention paid to the preparation of the first courses. The dishes are freshly prepared and served in an aluminum pan. This is the characteristic of the place. Prices are a little high compared to the city average, perhaps due to the central and tourist location. The portions are quite large and the ingredients cooked according to Sicilian tradition. Courteous staff.

Conto adeguato (67,50 euro).
