Stayed at Da Vittorio for 2 nights early on in July. After living in Italy for 5 years, it was only one of the remaining couple 3 Michelin star restaurants I hadn't been to before. My wife and I arrived hungry, not even expecting to do lunch as we had a dinner reservation, but we happened to do a 20 km hike the day before and arrived early right at 1pm. They were able to accommodate us and we decided to go straight for the tasting menu. Da Vittorio rates amongst the very best when it comes to food, service and staff. After quite a big meal you could imagine that another tasting menu was not in order for dinner. To our surprise the chef came out and discovered what we enjoyed most, knowing we wanted to keep it fairly light and cooked a completely customized 3 course menu for us. It was perfect. The accommodations and property are beautiful. Unfortunately the pool area was closed for construction which was quite a disappointment, and it also was one of the hottest days of the year and even with air conditioning our room stayed above 23.5 the entire stay. Despite this, the staff went out of their way to ensure we had an amazing stay, bringing up a fan unprompted. I'd highly recommend Da Vittorio. I'd easily put it in the top 5 places I've dined, which is a pretty impressive feat. Thanks to the entire staff for the enjoyable stay.

Visiting Da Vittorio might have spoiled fine dining for me: I am still bewildered as to how they managed to serve so many delicious, perfectly executed dishes over the course of the evening. Every plate hit all the right notes, there were gimmicks, there was innovation but flavour was never compromised. Traditional components were elevated, and seamlessly integrated with contemporary ingredients and techniques. We absolutely loved our experience here, also thanks to the flawlessly interacting service team, and still speak about the fried shiso leaf, the apple-potato foam-caviar trifle or the ice cream sandwich. What a restaurant!

The restaurant shares ten acres of manicured grounds with a 5 star Relais & Chateaux hotel. There is a tennis court, two small lakes and a quite lovely terrace area which would be great during summer. The dining area is very elegant and beautifully appointed with lots of space between diners. There were four degustation menus ranging in price from EUR250 per person (vegetarian 8 courses) to EUR380 per person (16 courses) plus an A La Carte menu. We chose the "Passioni carnali" degustation with 8 meat courses but in reality there were a significant number of additional courses including amuse bouches (of which there were two), palate cleansers plus petit fours, bread etc. We started with two amuse bouche, which were followed by a hazelnut treat before the first of our eight courses, the venison carpaccio was delivered. Next was the beef tartare, a Porcini mushroom dish, numerous different types of house made bread, a risotto with a perfect egg on top, pasta (which is a house specialty and was made and served at the table) followed by beef with vegetables. At this stage we had a palate cleanser, followed by lots of petit fours, sweets (choose your own from a huge lolly trolley), chocolates etc. The pacing of the dishes was superb. We were there for 3 and a half hours but it seemed a lot less and there was a lot of theatre with dishes being made at the table. Service was exquisite. Our waiter was Vittorio, son of the chef and owner, who also came over on several occasions to check on whether we were enjoying his dishes. Absolutely. Wine list was extensive and also expensive. Our aperitivo, a 2008 Ca' Del Bosco Franciacorta, was EUR25 per glass, coffee was EUR9 per cup though San Pellegrino mineral water only EUR5 per bottle. A very memorable dining experience, not only for the hole it left in my wallet.

avevo aspettative alte per questa esperienza, trattandosi di un ristorante storico e uno dei pochi 3 stelle michelin in italia; la location è molto curata ed è fuori dal caos cittadino, ma allo stesso tempo l'ambiente interno è accogliente, con diversi tavoli non troppo vicini che quindi garantiscono riservatezza; personale attento ai dettagli e sempre disponibile per eventuali richieste e domande su menu, ingredienti, etc.; ho optato per il menu di carne e ritengo sia stata una scelta azzeccata: un percorso di diversi piatti che sono riusciti a unire tradizione con innovazione, passando anche per classici come i paccheri che sono sicuramente un qualcosa da provare nella loro semplicità; ciò che mi è rimasto impresso è sicuramente il cappuccino di patate e funghi, geniale nella sua presentazione; esperienza da fare, ovviamente i prezzi sono da 3 stelle michelin

21/08/2024: 2024 update. Always pleasant. Quiet environment where peace and views of the plain reign. Quality dishes (SUPREMA eel, without fat). Adequate price Optimal Dinner with his wife, after being welcomed by the owner, on his advice we opt for a local tasting menu; while we wait, the appetizer offers Codevilla prosecco and sliced, crunchy eggs. As an appetizer the wife receives "a door to the garden", with carrot mayonnaise, pasta alla norma. For me, the meeting of waters, in which they place a salmon tartare on a whitefish and raspberry pâté, covered with a crouton made with whitefish skin. First course Venere risotto with missoltino fondue and courgettes, well cooked and balanced. For second mountain: hay ice cream, venison morsels in blueberry sauce, pine drops, grappa brittle. Delicate flavors, cooked correctly. Another second course is the porcini mushrooms and nectarine peaches, ok For dessert we choose hidden with aromas, hazelnut, chocolate and salt (intriguing). The wife opts for berries in four consistencies. Before dessert they bring us a black foam mousse on lime, which is good. With coffee tasting biscuits produced by them. Of note is the bread, also self-produced, with peanuts, milk, tomatoes and capers, black flour, breadsticks, focaccia. All good. Elegant environment. Waiters who rightly explained each dish. Adequate price without excesses.
17/08/2024: My husband and I spent a fantastic August holiday in our favorite restaurant, and we can't help but thank everyone for the wonderful experience! A heartfelt thank you to Mario and his wife for the always warm welcome. Every time we come here, we feel truly pampered and at home. A big round of applause and praise to the dining room staff for their impeccable service, kindness and attention to detail. You are always ready to make us feel at ease with a smile and you made our lunch even more pleasant. Finally, a special and heartfelt thanks to the chef and kitchen staff who worked hard despite the crazy temperatures, giving us delicious dishes with fresh and genuine ingredients directly from their garden, the quality of which was evident in every bite. Thank you for making our August holiday so special. We can't wait to come back, you are always a guarantee.

16/08/2024: Siamo clienti da un po’, location sempre al top molto familiare e accogliente , il cibo da stella , mi sento di attribuire 4 stelle e non il massimo perché visto il costo della cena e soprattutto la stella Michelin, non accetto il trattamento a noi riservato da parte della proprietaria al momento del conto.. Neanche un minimo di sorriso , nessuna empatia , sembrava di pagare in cassa ad un qualsiasi ristorante self service.. Purtroppo in certi posti il servizio conta tanto quanto quello che mangio , come il cameriere deve sempre essere sul pezzo a maggior ragione lo deve essere il titolare.. A tal punto mi complimento con i camerieri che ci hanno fatto sentire coccolati e super professionali. La mia è una critica costruttiva perché ho sempre apprezzato il posto e ci ritornerò nonostante tutto… sono certa che sia stato un caso , ma lo faccio presente perché comunque siamo andati via dispiaciuti e non soddisfatti.
