A simple restaurant in Castagneto. We went here for lunch with our families and were greeted warmly and attentively. The food was divine, and the pappardelle with wild boar was excellent. We'll be back.

If you are looking for a modern restaurant with beautifully plated food then this is not the place to come.This is a traditional Tuscan restaurant with old classic recipes by authentic nonnas in the kitchen.Cooked in the same way for years, and presented in a simple way.The pasta is all home made and delicious.There is a great wine list too featuring bolgheri wines.Give it a visit if you like traditional food

Lunch at Ugo's with a breathtaking view that stretches all the way to the sea. We enjoyed tagliatelle with wood pigeon and fettuccine with mushrooms. For our main course, Maremma-style wild boar. Everything was excellent!

We visited Ugo's in Castagneto Carducci and had a wonderful time! The staff was extremely kind and attentive, making us feel right at home. The traditional Tuscan dishes are truly delicious: authentic flavors, quality ingredients, and generous portions. Great attention to detail, from appetizers to desserts. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to enjoy authentic local cuisine in a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere!

17/05/2026: Excellent cake, in my opinion, the best. The pan pizza is also excellent. It's a shame the dining room is small with tables very close together, but definitely recommended.

La Baracchina Rossa

29/05/2026: I stopped at Baracchina Rossa for an aperitivo, and I must say it was a pleasant discovery. Its location is one of its strong points: directly overlooking the sea, it offers one of the most beautiful views of the Livorno waterfront. I was lucky enough to be there at sunset, and the atmosphere was truly special. The sun slowly setting on the horizon, the reflections on the water, and the sea breeze made the moment even more enjoyable. These are the moments where it takes very little to feel good: a beautiful view, a drink, and time seemingly slowing down. The atmosphere is informal and relaxed, perfect for a break without too many pretensions but in a memorable setting. A place that left a lasting impression on me and one I would definitely consider for a future visit to Livorno. 🌅🌊🍹
