When I return to Rome the osteria da Luciano is a fixed stop and never disappoints.
The typical cuisine is impeccable, the small environment is welcoming and a real gem among the many taverns. But what I love is the professionalism and warm courtesy of these two brothers.
Well done, well done, well done. You deserve the larger room, or maybe not, the family environment you have created is already perfect as it is.

Luciano was recommended to us from the Waldorf Astoria, and we were glad they did. Great neighborhood family restaurant. Great food and service. I even ordered a delicious pizza to go for a late night snack. Everything was awesome!

Da Luciano is a small, family-owned restaurant within a 15-minute walk or 6-minute taxi ride from the Roma Cavalieri Hotel. We experienced both lunch and dinner. If you go for lunch, be aware that their delicious pizza is only offered at dinner. The lunch/dinner menu is quite varied with wonderful selections of pasta, vegetables, fish, salads, appetizers, etc. Prices are very reasonable. The atmosphere is delightful, with mostly locals (that’s a good thing!), and the service is excellent and friendly. Try it! You wont be disappointed!

Really good pizza, low, digestible, we will certainly return to taste the other dishes on the menu. Well! Friendly service and seeing a pizza chef over 60 near the oven is wonderful. It denotes passion for one's work.
Too bad about the furnishings, the only flaw, it could have been done better while making it younger, even just respecting tradition without trying to get closer to other more "modern" places with little success.

Abbiamo pranzato in questo ristorante trovandolo per caso, è stata una piacevole sorpresa. Ambiente luminoso grazie alle ampie vetrate, personale gentile, disponibile e premuroso alle richieste dei clienti. I primi piatti (cacio e pepe e gnocchi ai frutti di mare) erano ben cotti e abbastanza abbondanti, come secondo abbiamo scelto la frittura, molto soddisfacente. Scelta dei vini molto variegata per qualità e prezzo.
Ritornando a Roma pranzeremo ancora in questo ristorante

The food was tasty, portions ok. We tried risotto, three types of pizza, carbonara and gnocchi. Service ok. Nice and efficient. On weekends, there are a lot of occupied tables, so it's hard to get in without a reservation.
