The first time I chose the “Da Gherardo” restaurant by chance because there are many restaurants on the amphitheater square. But after an incomparably delicious dinner, I always plan at least one visit to this restaurant during my stay in Lucca. If someone (Gherardo) can stay in the same place for forty years, then he is doing something right. The service is friendly, attentive and fast and the dishes are all fantastic. I can recommend "Da Gherardo" without hesitation.

Ordered 3 gluten free pizzas. One of the best gluten-free pizza doughs I've eaten. They had even received an award for it. Highly recommend the frutti di mare pizza😍🦐

A great restaurant for mixed gluten-eating and non-gluten-eating groups. They offer homemade pasta and pizzas. Gluten-free food is great. I ate gluten-free and lactose-free pasta and it was really delicious. They also offer gluten-free desserts. For those who are gluten-free, this is a must-visit restaurant. It's worth waiting for a table. Helpful and friendly staff. 👏🏻🫶🏻

Both waitresses were less friendly. The waiter was nice. The lasagna was very good, and the ravioli was cooked out of a freezer, tasted ok. Coperto 1.5, Nice sofa for sitting inside, I would try another place next time.

We had collected our 18 yo grand children from Bologna Airport and returned to Lucca just in time for our dinner reservation. Both the 18yo's were tired and hungry, plus one is a coeliac, so we settled in for an introductory Italian meal for them. The food and drinks hit the spot, with the coeliac particularly liking the Tagliata Di Manzo e verde which he described as the best ever steak he has eaten. He also loved the lemon gelato encased in a frozen lemon skin. We will be back again soon.

The food was amazing. We loved that they had gluten free pasta and pizza! And it was amazing!!! So fresh! So delicious! The marinara pizza was our favorite and the tagliatelle al fungi porcini freschi. All gluten free! Their homemade wine paired amazingly with all their food and the atmosphere at the plaza was very pleasant! Beautiful experience in Lucca, Italia! 👏🏻👍🏻. Bravo 🙌
