We came here for the gluten-free options. The food was okay but not great. The staff was very friendly and the location was great, right in the square.

A down-to-earth restaurant, excellent dishes, generous portions, and fair prices. Many dishes are also available gluten-free. The staff is very helpful. I especially thank the girl who takes questions, who is kind and attentive. I recommend the tagliatelle with fresh porcini mushrooms, very good!

A great little trattoria in the heart of the city on Piazza Dell Amfiteatro. Excellent homemade pasta and a fantastic Roma-style pizza. You might expect high prices given the location, but you won't find them here – the prices are completely relaxed. The excellent, attentive service was engaging, and despite the group size (7), the food was served instantly and piping hot. Da Gherardo is definitely worth a visit!

The service was great. The pasta was incredible. We took the chef's suggestion, and my mom loved it because it's gluten-free and lactose-free. We ordered fresh lobster tagliatelle and white truffle tagliatelle. The lobster wasn't quite cooked to perfection, but it didn't hurt the rating. I thought the tiramizu was really good. A very good experience, right in the town square. We loved it and recommend it!

I had two first courses and two glasses of wine, one gluten-free with fresh pasta made in their own workshop. Very satisfied. Thanks also to the very kind and attentive staff.

We arrived one weekday evening without a reservation. Everything was booked, but they set aside special tables for us and another party – very attentive and not to be taken for granted! The service was friendly and very attentive, the food came quickly, and everything was as ordered. However, the quality left something to be desired, especially for the price. We had gluten-free crostini for starters, which was a slice of Schär bread with some toppings. Not recommended. We also had the gluten-free penne carbonara, which had a great consistency, but was completely oversalted. The penne was definitely not homemade, as advertised. The meat was nothing special either, sparsely presented and a bit too raw for medium. At a restaurant around the corner, we got the same dish on a hot plate for the same price – superbly presented and very tasty. It's great that there are so many gluten-free options, but the quality shouldn't suffer at these prices. A tourist trap, in my opinion.

Siamo stati in questo locale molte volte e non ha mai deluso le nostre aspettative! Il locale si trova nel pieno centro di Lucca, all’interno delle mura. Si può mangiare sia all’esterno che all’interno, in particolare dal piano superiore si può ammirare una bellissima vista sulla piazza tutta illuminata. Consiglio di provare la zuppa.. davvero ottima.

Abbiamo pranzato all'aperto in questo locale carino nella bella piazza Anfiteatro e siamo rimasti piacevolmente sorpresi dalla cortesia e gentilezza sia del proprietario, che dei camerieri e dalla buona cucina di questo ristorante. Abbiamo preso tagliatelle alla Norcia con salsiccia e tartufo e pici con ragù di cinghiale, entrambi molto buono. Buona anche la torta con fichi e noci come dolce. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Cucina di qualità in un posto turistico.
