A pleasant confirmation in Amalfi Having to choose a restaurant for a lunch with important guests, I decided to rely on the historical reputation of the Gemma restaurant, an institution on the Amalfi Coast. Despite some negative reviews read on Tripadvisor, I chose to follow my instincts and I'm really happy I did. The place retains its usual charm: clean, welcoming and well frequented. The raw materials used are of the highest quality, starting from the raw meat, which could not be served if it were not extremely fresh and impeccable. The service is professional and, above all, available, reserved and friendly, which is not a bad thing when you go out to stay calm. We started our lunch with a delicious lemon risotto, perfectly balanced, and a surprising dish of different types of pasta with fish, which won over all the guests. As a second course, the salted fish proved to be an authentic marvel, fresh and prepared with great skill. Even the desserts, rigorously homemade, deserve a special mention: the tiramisu, in particular, is a very interesting and refined reinterpretation. As for the price, it might seem high at first glance, but it is absolutely adequate for the quality of the experience, especially when compared to other similar restaurants in the area. I will certainly return as soon as possible, because it is a pleasure to be able to eat so well in a place that manages to stand out in an area where tourist restaurants are often the norm.

I chose the 'cellar' room for dinner. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxing, surrounded by bottles of good wine. The brigade is prepared and available. The excellent quality raw materials can be perceived at every course. Super recommended!

The restaurant I wanted to go to was full, so I came to this one. It completely exceeded my expectations. The quality and service were very good. I recommend the red prawn paella. Great food and service, highly recommended. The red prawn risotto is unbelievable!

Food quality is excellent, location outstanding, terrace is a fabulous place to eat, especially since they added a tarp. Wine list is very extensive. Service was slow and inattentive - we had to pour our own water and wine almost the entire evening. I constantly felt I was being upsold on my wine choice. We didn't see a server after our meal was served. Had to finally just go ask for a check - we weren't even offered dessert which is shocking given how much they were trying to upsell the wine. Overall a very nice experience - less the poor service
