Booked well in advance and requested table on the terrace which was nice. Food was good, but price and special entre was more than most mains and of course you didn't know this, water and wine wasn't always refilled in a timely manner. Declined water and then was asked again and pretty much forced to order 4Euro water, when we had already ordered a full bottle of wine. The most disappointing part of the experience was when paying we were forced to leave a tip with the waiter saying tip cash or card, when we tried to simply pay the bill total the waiter added 10% tip to an already very expensive bill. Considering we had just had dinner at Don Giovanni in positano the night before which had amazing views, no pressure to tip, no water forced or coperto charge was left quite disappointed with the service and the experience at Da Gemma. Next time would try a different restaurant in amalfi.

Food quality is excellent, location outstanding, terrace is a fabulous place to eat, especially since they added a tarp. Wine list is very extensive. Service was slow and inattentive - we had to pour our own water and wine almost the entire evening. I constantly felt I was being upsold on my wine choice. We didn't see a server after our meal was served. Had to finally just go ask for a check - we weren't even offered dessert which is shocking given how much they were trying to upsell the wine. Overall a very nice experience - less the poor service

On a terrace above the chaos of the street, a truly wonderful old restaurant Very kind welcome from a young Djia woman? (Not sure of the spelling) and the sommelier We followed their recommendations and the shrimp risotto is unforgettable Everything was perfect!

Very good experience of Campania and seafood cuisine. We really appreciated the availability that was granted to us to celebrate my daughter's birthday.

Food Amazing, definitely a taste of Amalfi. I missed a bit of service attention as we had 2 bottles of champagne and both were " warm" we had to ask twice for ice, and the attention was not up to standards. Overall food made our night and they have a little selection of home made biscuits and sweets with our coffee.

It was a very good meal on the terrace of the Da Gemma restaurant. The service was impeccable and the servers were very friendly. It is a shame that it had to rain but that remains the weather circumstances. In addition, the dishes are very tasty, especially the pasta with truffle as well as the lemon dessert. On the other hand, according to some members of my family, the black pasta (I think it was the dish of the day) was rather bland and lacked taste. Otherwise, we spent a pleasant evening in your magnificent restaurant!

Like everything in Amalfi, very expensive! Disproportionate. The food was very good, the balcony was nice. And it was empty.
