Truly the finest meal in Amalfi!

It was my fault for not making a reservation, but they didn't even ask where I wanted to eat, and even though there were still many empty seats inside, they just left me at the entrance where people were coming and going, so I asked if I could change seats, but they hesitated and just left. I ordered fish and young veal. The fish was just a simple steamed dish, and the veal didn't feel special for the price. It was a very unpleasant dining experience.

Service is impeccable! Came back twice in one day. Simon is one of the kindest people we met on our trip and took amazing care of us. Roberto is a class act! Great food, great location, great people .. will be coming back and sending everyone we know this rec.

This is the most delicious place I've ever eaten at. And the seafood stew is generous and fresh, and it's so filling.. And if you sit at the end of the terrace, you can see the streets of Amalfi and the Duomo Cathedral Square. There was a performance in the square on the day I went to eat, so I asked for that seat and they moved me there. The servers are all friendly^^ I had lemon cheesecake for dessert that day, but I think pasta ciona mille-feuille hazelnut would be delicious too! Thanks to the fact that they guided me to a seat on the second floor with a view of the square, I was able to have the best dinner in Amalfi. The servers were all friendly and there was a witty server who spoke Korean well, which made it even more enjoyable. The lighting on the second floor during dinner time made the atmosphere even more romantic^^

Food was underwhelming and in my opinion not worth the $$ it costs. Service was great though.

Every time I return to Amalfi it is a must. Refined traditional cuisine with a touch of modernity in a comfortable setting with a wonderful terrace just steps from the Duomo. Everything was excellent, risotto was superb

Situato al centro di Amalfi, questa elegante "osteria" offre una cucina raffinata e di qualità. La carta dei vini, anzi il tablet dei vini pardon, è ricchissimo di scelta; il servizio è all'altezza. Una cenetta in veranda è il posto ideale per festeggiare una ricorrenza romantica. I prezzi non certo abbordabilissimi valgono sicuramente l'offerta.

Dovendo scegliere un ristorante per un pranzo con ospiti importanti, ho deciso di affidarmi alla reputazione storica del ristorante Gemma, un’istituzione della Costiera Amalfitana. Nonostante alcune recensioni negative lette su Tripadvisor, ho scelto di seguire il mio istinto e sono davvero felice di averlo fatto. Il locale conserva il fascino di sempre: pulito, accogliente e ben frequentato. Le materie prime utilizzate sono di altissima qualità, a partire dal crudo, che non potrebbe essere servito se non fosse freschissimo e impeccabile. Il servizio è professionale e, soprattutto disponibile, riservato e simpatico, cosa che non guasta quando si esce per stare sereni. Abbiamo iniziato il nostro pranzo con un delizioso risotto al limone, perfettamente bilanciato, e un piatto sorprendente di diversi tipi di pasta con pesce, che ha conquistato tutti i commensali. Come secondo, il pesce al sale si è rivelato un’autentica meraviglia, fresco e preparato con grande maestria. Anche i dolci, rigorosamente fatti in casa, meritano una menzione speciale: il tiramisù, in particolare, è una reinterpretazione molto interessante e raffinata. Per quanto riguarda il prezzo, potrebbe sembrare alto a prima vista, ma è assolutamente adeguato alla qualità dell’esperienza, soprattutto se confrontato con altri ristoranti simili nella zona. Sicuramente tornerò appena possibile, perché è un piacere poter mangiare così bene in un luogo che riesce a distinguersi in una zona dove i ristoranti turistici sono spesso la norma.
