I’m so glad I booked a table ahead so I could dine at this venerable classic. The crowd was probably about 85% locals and I can see why it’s a town favorite. The dining room is super traditional and the menu does not only the classics of Emilian cuisine but also a ton of seasonal specials incorporating fall/winter veggies and meat. Service was also really good! The meal was so satisfying and an unbelievable value compared to more of the pricey “creative” places I also dined at. Bologna residents are so lucky to live close to dine here frequently!

Ristorante soddisfacente, come antipasto abbiamo ordinato un'ottima coppa di testa e un flan di zucca che onestamente non ci ha entusiasmato (totale 26 €) Abbiamo poi proseguito con due buoni tortellini in brodo (34 €) e una scaloppina alla Petroniana (20 €), il tutto accompagnato da acqua e un Lambrusco di Sorbara L'ambiente è caratteristico, caldo e accogliente, così come il servizio (bravi i ragazzi in sala), in definitiva un posto sul quale poter contare, senza il rischio di sorprese negative, per una cena a Bologna

A place that on the surface seems like a warm and welcoming trattoria but then turns out to be a restaurant where you eat well, portions a little smaller than normal, staff who are quite detached (except for one of them), decidedly high prices. It's worth trying because the quality deserves it, but I definitely won't go back. Obviously the review is personal.

18/11/2024: Impasto di ottima farina integrale, la piadina di questo locale subito dietro al Mercato delle Erbe, è alta al punto giusto, cioè non troppo, e dal sapore veramente buono. Molte, ma non troppe, le varietà proposte - dalla classica alle gourmet con vari salumi e formaggi. Persino l'insalatona è stata buona: fresca e appena preparata. Bravi Fortunato e Sara!
