Positive experience: good food, well-recommended drinks, attentive service, and reasonable bill. They also kindly showed us the cave. A warm welcome, even with our dog.

This is my second visit here, and it confirmed my every expectation. It's a very family-friendly place, the food is excellent, and the staff is very friendly. We had the Chiavennasca brisaola and schisciat with chicory salad as appetizers; Chiavennasca gnocchi as a first course. You can also purchase traditional local products.

We had a soup and fillet steak appetizer...excellent. The panettone dessert was superb. Definitely worth it. The atmosphere was elegant, warm, and welcoming. Good service, friendly and professional waitresses.

I'd say enjoy a good lunch, with typical food. Eating in the Crotti of Valchiavenna is always a delight. However, I'd opt for the set menu instead of individual courses.

30/09/2025: Enchanting place, super welcoming and kind owners! Prices in line with the location, altitude, and management! The complaints in the negative comments should be more objective and take all factors into account! Highly recommended! The pizzoccheri are dreamy! PS: The only lodge open on September 28th in Val Zebrù!
26/09/2025: We passed by on July 23rd: we had booked a refuge, but along the trail a family recommended we stop here for the quality of the food. I can 100% confirm that the food is excellent: the tiramisu, in particular, is among the best I've ever tasted, if not the best. Highly recommended! A place to return to not only for the food, but also for the scenery and the warm welcome from the owners.

29/01/2026: Friendly service, nice atmosphere, the lasagna was apparently a pre-made product, unfortunately too dry without cream or cheese. Not good!!
