I would definitely recommend and certainly go back to.

The same advice from the jovial lawyer from Parma that had made me discover La Valle, this time led me to the Cortex Bistrot. From the green hills above Fidenza to the narrow streets of the center of Parma, warmed by the rays of the sun of the first, real, days of summer.
Inside, however, it is nice, an informal environment between shelves of books and bottles that celebrate past uncorkings, the girls who welcomed us and took care of us always patient and courteous, even though we were a large company and perhaps with a few too many requests.
I really liked the cuisine of Cortex, articulated without being excessive, fresh and original in the choice of ingredients with a result always well-centered, you can find delicacy where perhaps you would expect intensity, or the exact opposite.
I put “𝑝𝑒𝑝𝑒 𝑏𝑢𝑐𝑎𝑡𝑜, 𝑎𝑠𝑝𝑎𝑟𝑎𝑔𝑖, 𝑐𝑎𝑣𝑖𝑎𝑙𝑒 𝑑𝑖𝑎𝑟𝑖𝑛𝑔𝑎, 𝑏𝑒𝑙𝑢𝑔𝑎” in first place along with “𝑐𝑖𝑝𝑜𝑙𝑙𝑎, 𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑡𝑒́, 𝑣𝑖𝑛 Hello, dear friend, extraordinary starter the “𝑧𝑢𝑐𝑐ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑒 𝑡𝑟𝑜𝑚𝑏𝑒𝑡𝑡𝑎 𝑑𝑖𝑑 𝑑𝑖𝑑 𝑑𝑖𝑑, “𝑝𝑒𝑐𝑜𝑟𝑖𝑛𝑜𝑛, 𝑏𝑜𝑡𝑡𝑎𝑟𝑔𝑎”. Since I lacked the courage, I chose “𝑝𝑜𝑙𝑙𝑜, 𝑔𝑎𝑚𝑏𝑒𝑟𝑖, 𝑝𝑖𝑠𝑒𝑙𝑙𝑖, 𝑐𝑢𝑟𝑟𝑦” instead of “𝑡𝑟𝑖𝑝𝑝𝑎, 𝑠𝑒𝑝𝑝𝑖𝑎, 𝑓𝑎𝑔𝑖𝑜𝑙𝑖 𝑑𝑒𝑙𝑙’𝑜𝑐𝑐ℎ𝑖𝑜”, but who wouldn't? he had my paranoias he then called it spectacular.
The wine list was a real playground, to satisfy every possible desire without breaking the bank. As a company alcoholic, colleagues, on average 20 years younger, gave me carte blanche and I, as an elderly person, took advantage of it. They were very thirsty, they behaved very well 😎

We stumbled upon Cortex Bistrot last summer, in the midst of a 13-day tour of Italy. Not only was this the best meal I had in Italy, but the ricotta gnocchi is the best thing I've eaten in my entire life.
We will remember our meal at Cortex Bistrot for the rest of our lives. Grazie mille!

One of the best restaurants in Parma, the staff is very kind and helpful, the cuisine is excellent and offers different dishes that allow you to escape from the Parmesan cuisine by trying interesting combinations of flavors. I highly recommend it.

We returned with friends and had a great time, as usual. The environment is informal and welcoming, the service friendly and attentive, the cuisine expresses originality and care in the selection of raw materials. We will certainly return to try other dishes on the new menu which, we would like to suggest, could be written in more detail even if the staff's descriptions were exhaustive.

Non-obvious combinations in very interesting and refined dishes. I got to sample most of the menu having shared some with others and it was all extremely good! The staff was knowledgeable and friendly and also gave good advice on portions when there was a choice between large and small. We really had a great time, highly recommended place!
Cabbage is definitely the dish I recommend trying!

Devo discostarmi dalle recensioni che precedono, parto dal prezzo, 70 euro a cranio per due piatti (oltre a un dolce) e una bottiglia di vino, mangiando su un tavolo senza tovaglia, in un locale dove c'era anche un po' freddino, mi pare tanto. Piatti buoni, ma non indimenticabili, piccola carta vini con ricarichi secondo me pesanti, servizio cortese. A dirla tutta, non sono uscito entusiasta.

Materie prime sono di qualità e il personale molto professionale ti mette a tuo agio.
Loro consigliano nel menu anche le mezze porzioni così da poter assaporare più piatti.
La carta dei vini interessante e fornita.
