A truly unique place in Amelia. We came in for lunch and ordered two fabulous dishes (a pasta of the day and a baked scamorza with vegetables). It was impossible not to stop at the deli; we bought taralli and biscuits, but everything else looked truly inviting. Top!

Respect for tradition, expert use of raw materials, and mastery in combining them.
This and much more is "Convitto" in Amelia, an incredibly welcoming place, full of love, purity, and genuine feelings that tell the story of Umbria's food and wine.
Dishes rich in flavor that linger on the palate, but above all, in the soul and heart, filling the voids with intense emotions.
Art, craftsmanship, and passion are the tools that live in the hands of those who transform excellent raw materials into authentic culinary masterpieces.
Dishes that fully respect the flavors of the ingredients, enhanced by a combination of perfectly balanced elements.
Flavors that evoke aromas that bring to mind places and the magic of certain dishes are the experience I love when evaluating a restaurant.
At Convitto, EVERY product made with milk is produced on-site, which gives a more than clear idea of the level of quality you can experience in this temple of Umbrian food and wine excellence.
Let's start with a truly exquisite pan of smoked provola and black truffle. The finest quality of perfectly aged cheese, the finest quality of black summer truffle, accompanied by the freshest grilled vegetables.
Speechless.
The owners are incredibly sweet women with wonderfully bright souls.
Their passion has created something truly unique, and as we know, when love and passion come together, the result can only be excellent.
A perfect symposium of flavors and aromas that inebriate the senses, the heart, and the soul.
An incredible balance of any product made with cow's milk, further enhanced by the spectacular skill of those in the kitchen who use one of the finest extra virgin olive oils to finish each dish.
I continued with homemade fettuccine with nettle and walnut pesto and then with black summer truffle.
A culmination of flavor.
The texture of the fresh pasta, cooked to perfection, was perfect.
The red wine was excellent.
Full-bodied, firm, deep, persistent on the palate, and decisive at the finish, it pushes all the flavors with every bite, blending perfectly with the ingredients.
In the glass, it strikes with its intense and vibrant color.
On the nose, the aromas recall ripe red fruit, such as sour cherries and plums.
Finally, a slice of sour cherry tart arrived.
Opera Summa Maxima.
It was something literally divine.
The common denominator of each dish was the perfect symbiosis of flavors, aromas, and above all, the ingredients, masterfully combined.
What can I say...I'll be back to try more dishes.
Kudos to this wonderful place and to its creators who, with passion, love, and skill, manage to make everyone who decides to enter their delightful little restaurant happy.
Thank you so much for everything 🙏🏾🙂💙🩵
