Colline Emiliane In Roma

Our first night in Rome did not disappoint. Delicious pastas from Emilia romagna region. All pastas were great but the zucca (pumpkin) gnocchi was so good we had to order a second plate. Make a reservation by calling or have your hotel book for you.

Stumbled across this place when we were looking for something authentically Italian and it did not disappoint! The food was divine. We all had pasta and all of the meals were delicious. Desserts also delicious. Highly recommend the lemon meringue pie! The service was excellent. Attentive, speedy and the waitress was fun, friendly and charismatic. Would highly recommend. Make sure you book (and show up!) We were only lucky enough to get a table because so many people booked and then didn't show up (more fool them!)

The best pasta in Rome. We were recommended this place and it was a great choice. The pasta is fresh, made on-site, and you can see it as soon as you walk in. The atmosphere is calm and family-friendly. Attentive service and extraordinary Italian food.

First of all, they were very kind to seat us even though it was past 10:30 PM. We ate well; the lasagna was very tasty (and huge!), as were the tortellini in broth. We'll be back to try other dishes!

The best Italian cuisine we've ever tasted. Without a doubt, if you visit Rome, this place is a must-visit. Everything on the menu is delicious, but we fell in love with the Gnocchi di Zucca with Parmesan cream and black truffle—a true delight. The service is impeccable and the entire team is charming. Their love for cooking is evident in every dish. We will definitely return!

My favorite restaurant in Rome. All the pasta is homemade by the family. Great wines and impeccable service.

I walked in right at opening time and was lucky enough to get a seat. This restaurant ranks as the best pasta I've had in Italy. Be sure to try the ragu pasta and truffle gnocchi.

We found the restaurant by chance and really wanted to eat there. Since there was no room that day, we made a reservation for the next day at 9:15 p.m. When we arrived, we were seated quickly and ordered quickly, too. In general, everything in the restaurant seems a bit hectic. And it's also a bit cramped. But that's not too much of a problem once you're seated. We only ordered two pastas, since almost all the other dishes were meat-based, and we don't eat meat. We didn't order wine either, because we'd already had one every day for the previous days (😅🤣). It somehow seemed to me like they were "mad" because we ordered so little. The food, however, was truly incredible. The zucchini gnocchi with truffle was really, really good, and the ravioli with spinach, ricotta, and sage butter were also a delicacy. So, the food was truly TOP-NOTCH! The pasta was fresh and obviously homemade. For dessert, we chose the caramelized pear cake and the tiramisu. I personally didn't like the tiramisu that much, but my boyfriend did. On the other hand, I thought the pear cake was incredible and would have loved a second slice. Overall, it was very tasty, but I wouldn't go back because the service was too hectic, the room a bit cold, and I felt a bit pressured to order more. Also, my spoon had a large piece of food on the handle when it was handed to me. Personally, I don't mind and just cleaned it myself, but I think for a former Michelin-starred restaurant, there should at least be clean dishes inside.

Allora ci siamo passati e la fortuna ci ha assistito: complice una disdetta, ci siamo seduti nel tavolino accanto all'entrata. Locale piccolo ma ben strutturato. Tavoli troppo vicini e un po' di rumore. Titolare affabile e personale che lo segue per educazione e simpatia. Menù sintetico ma che racchiude tutti i piaceri di una delle mie cucine preferite. Piatti ottimi e ben serviti; porzioni modeste sia per la tradizione emiliana che rispetto alla concorrente cucina romana. Prezzo equo ed esperienza che consiglio e che ripeterò presto.

I'm still dreaming about Colline Emiliane. Definitely the best pasta that we had in Italy. After a long day exploring Rome, I pretty much wore my entire family out. That is everyone except for my sister-in-law. When she suggested this Michelin Star restaurant near our hotel, it was a definite yes for me. Colline Emiliane opens at 7:30. We waited in line at 7:10 and enjoyed watching the pasta being made through the window. At around 7:20, Luca, one of the family owners, came to bring in everyone who had a reservation. That filled all of the restaurant's tables except for five tables for two. Then the waiting game came into play where we hoped that a few people who made reservations did not show. Luca counted and let everyone who was past the table five mark know that the odds were not in their favor. We were at the table three mark, so we still had a chance. Two couples finally showed up, but the odds were ever in our favor, and we got the last table for two right next to Luca. A nice bonus! This was the best dinner that we had in Italy! The service was amazing. We never felt rushed. Started with the artichoke heart side as an appetizer. Delicious. Next course, pasta! I had the gnocchi di zucca con crema di parmigiano e tartufo nero. Pillowy, light and airy freshly homemade pumpkin gnocchi topped with parmesan cream and finished with generous shavings of black truffle. I thought that I died and went to heaven, it was so good. My sister-in-law had the tortelloni ricotta e spinaci. Homemade ravioli stuffed with ricotta and spinach with butter and sage. Amazing. Luca let us know that the pasta is made daily by his family. His mom and aunts all come together in the pasta kitchen to make the magic happen. Tradition, family, quality and artisanship. The pastries are also all homemade by the family. We capped the night with a pastry with the tiniest strawberries. Such a great way to finish a nice relaxing meal. Dinner happens at 7:30 and 9:15. Definitely make a reservation, if possible.
