Elegant but informal restaurant in the delightful Piazza Capranica, a stone's throw from Montecitorio, offers a refined but not too pretentious menu. Attentive and courteous service. Advised

Restaurant very well located, next to the Pantheon. The food is excellent, I recommend the “Gnocchi ricci” and the Carbonara pasta.
Very nice and fast service. We will repeat for sure!!!

The original ‘vini e olii’ (wine & oil) signage on the front of this sienna-coloured building, tells the history of this restaurant/wine bar in an historic palazzo. Collegio is named for the Almo Collegio Capranica, Rome’s oldest college, which shares the 15th century building. I lunched here alone and thoroughly enjoyed it, the cool soundtrack and friendly service putting me completely at ease even though I often don’t like to eat alone. The main dining room is high ceilinged with a narrow metal mezzanine level full of wine running around it – a clear indication that the Santarelli family, who also own Casale del Giglio winery an hour south of Rome, take wine as seriously as food. I found both to be excellent. I had a delicious lunch of salumi and cheese with pizzelle fritte (fried pizza dough), followed by Amatriciana pasta. I chose this restaurant because the family is originally from the hill town of Amatrice, home of this now classic Roman pasta. A side of pan-fried chicory and a couple of glasses of the family’s wine were all excellent too. My only regret is that I was alone, so couldn’t try more dishes. I’ll be back!

Delicious food. The Burrata was great, everyone should take the Gnocci a la Grigia or all'Amatriciana as a starter. Then share the Polpo crocante. Really fantastic! Finish with the homemade Tiramisu and a delicious Limoncello. Top service, great food. Oh, by the way, don't forget the wine. Very extensive map. We chose the Viognier from Lazio on the recommendation of the waiter. Very tasty choice!

We stopped in for dinner and saw the sign for the Cooking With Nonna class. So we sat down and had dinner. The food was well prepared, delicious, and priced well. Being in a touristy area, we expected the menu to be typical but it was not. The menu is well thought out and had many options. The meatballs in white wine sauce were uncommon and delicious. All of the pasta dishes were perfectly cooked as well. The next night we returned to cook with Nonna. If you have the chance to do this, it is well worth the time. We learned a lot, laughed, and got to make and eat fettuccine and ravioli while enjoying wine and olive oil tastings. We will definitely be back on our next trip to Rome.

The aperol spritz was delicious and the staff were very nice. Plus, the location is perfect! The waiter complimented my italian skills because apparently my extensive vocabulary of “tre aperol spritz, per favore” is impressive so I have to give this place 5 stars. In conclusion, if you want to be flattered while enjoying great drinks this is the spot💯.
