We went for a coffee. The tartes and cakes are amazing. The chocolate soufflé was on point. Service is incredibly kind and there are large jugs of water. Lovely place

The place is very cute and welcoming, perfect for spending time together. Unfortunately, not all the dishes are as pictured, especially the croque madame. The croque monsieur, while similar to the photo, is nothing like the croque monsieur I've eaten everywhere, especially in France. Unfortunately, it was very hard, had too much ham, not enough béchamel, and a cheese that wasn't at all flavorful, so overall, it was rather disappointing. I also didn't think the cheesecake was up to par, but I think the other desserts were well-received. Otherwise, the atmosphere is very pleasant, the staff very friendly, and it's a great place to be.

30/06/2026: Fantastic atmosphere, very kind staff, when I'm in the neighborhood I never hesitate to pop into Max's.
09/06/2026: Now my favorite haunt for a quality work lunch. A wide variety of dishes to suit all tastes, from the healthiest to the tastiest, all prepared with care and passion. Service is always lightning-fast and the staff are extraordinary, always smiling and offering a joke. It's hard to imagine anything else with these qualities.

Al Tempio D'Oro

01/06/2026: Guys, what happened to Tempio? This is a nostalgic review because it's been two years since I've been down this street. Tonight we wanted to go and drove by twice only to realize the place is still there, but it's a tiny shopfront. It really hit me because we've been coming to this place since 2004. We didn't even get a drink because there were only a few tables occupied. I read the latest negative reviews and, in short, I'm so sorry for this collapse. This trendy Nolo that took over one of the best places in Milan! I haven't been back in a long time only because I now frequent other parts of the city and you can never find parking here! But once upon a time, ethnic food was served here when most people didn't even know what it was; there were aperitivos, dinner, brunch, board games, and art exhibitions. I wish a new life to this place or at least to the owner who may have a gruff manner but is a nice person.
