Value for money definitely worth reviewing...three euros per person for a cover charge...30 euros per person to eat a first course...a starter divided between the three and a bitter at the cost of six euros...definitely exaggerated

Thursday 25 July 2024, very hot and scorching sun, but with an insufficient straw hat on his head. In Roccascalegna a visit to the castle is a must, the certain opinion is also obligatory: really very beautiful. Then three of us, me with wife and cousin, looking for the refreshment of some cuisine. Found Civico 20 where we are welcomed with a smile and courtesy, to the shady quiet of a corner next to the public road. Come here calmly and confidently: tradition, yes, but in hindsight, simplicity married to expertise, but... I should say more. In fact, it even got quicker and finally a more than honest price. Three final words intended for them: congratulations, well done, continue.

everything was great: very good food, friendly and welcoming staff, inclusive menu for lactose intolerance and vegan. I would definitely stay here again!

We (4 of us) had a pasta making course followed by a guided tour of the castle and then a long lunch at this restaurant. Wow, the pasta making course was a lot of fun, and naturally very educational. We had Nico's daughter demonstrating how to make the pasta. The Castle is a "must see" if you are ever in the Abruzzo region, and our guide was very informative. The lunch, what can I say! Probably some of the best food we have had whilst here in Italy. Every course was a taste sensation. All of us agreed that Nico's Pasta making course combined with the castle tour, and long Italian lunch was an absolute winner! Just a few photos of our meal, I forgot to take one of the tiramisu, my gosh it tasted fantastic.

After visiting La Rocca we stopped by chance to eat in this restaurant and it was nice outside even if it was raining. The food was good, the service was good and the price was in line with the quality

Courteous people and great food. Heady scent of mushrooms. Excellent typical appetizers and homemade desserts. If you're in the area, it's worth stopping here! Eco friendly, pet friendly, art friendly and much more!

We thoroughly enjoyed the pasta class with was highly informative, well organised and great fun. It was followed by a tour of stunning Roccascalegna castle then back for an amazing lunch at Civico. Thank you very much to our attentive hosts Nico and Valentina and friendly waitress Jessica.

I had lunch in this lovely restaurant in Roccascalegna in the province of Chieti and I was truly deeply impressed and happily satisfied. The food was truly excellent, starting from the appetizers, with the cacio e ova pallotte reigning supreme, but also many quality cured meats and cheeses, accompanied by local honeys and jams. The first one I ordered with mushrooms and truffles was also excellent, as were the drinks. There is also a wide range of vegan and gluten free options. Prices are also really super, as is the wonderful welcome and friendliness of Nicola and Valentina. Civico 20 is not a simple restaurant: Nicola and Valentina like to call it a Risto Art Gallery, where you can find photography exhibitions displayed within the walls of the restaurant and where cooking workshops, themed literary and food and wine events are periodically organised. Highly recommended.

Nice location, good food, you can taste the local food of the area

Un po' fuori dal centro ma raggiungibile a piedi dal castello in 10 minuti. Luogo casereccio, alla mano, caratteristico.
