We arrived by chance at this restaurant and were welcomed with kindness and professionalism. We chose to have lunch outside under the pergola to enjoy the beautiful landscape of the castle. The food was refined and home-made, we ate excellent spaghetti alla chitarra with grandma's fish ragù and a perfectly cooked lamb! It's a shame we live far away!

Nel bellissimo borgo di Roccascalegna, ai piedi del castello si trova questo ristorante, con cucina genuina, piatti semplici, ma molto buoni. Il locale dispone di tavoli esterni e con le belle giornate e’ un piacere mangiare ammirando il castello. Il menù dispone di scelta con opzioni vegetariane e vegane, risulta nei locali con marchio vegan certificato.

Typical dishes, beautiful view and excellent service, the guy was very kind. There are many vegan and vegetarian choices, rare to find in the area. From the reviews I read I thought it was more expensive, instead I think the prices are fair given the quality of the product. Recommended!

We went for lunch on Sunday 5th May and were greeted kindly. The courses we took were also very good and plentiful. Thanks again for everything 😘

Pequeño restaurante acogedor cerca del castillo en Roccascalegna. En cuanto entraste, los dueños te trataron como si fueras familia. Almorzamos un día y un par de días después cenamos con amigos. La comida era increíble y el ambiente era fantástico. ¡El servicio era puntual! No tomé suficientes fotos, pero de postre tuve un pastel de chocolate con peras. Fue muy sabroso junto con mi copa de vino Montepulciano D’Abruzzo.

Hosteria la vecchia lanterna

28/05/2025: My husband and I spent a few days in Ortona. La Vecchia Lanterna was a pleasant surprise. Excellent food: cheese and egg balls, arrosticini, cutting board. Very helpful staff.
26/05/2025: We had a good time. There were two of us plus a small child and a dog. Not too crowded, welcoming, courteous and efficient service. The meatballs and pasta were excellent. The arrosticini and the stew were ad hoc. The desserts were also delicious. I would go back

Le Campanelle Stabilimento Balneare

15/06/2025: Large parking lot, also free. Friendly staff, crowded but quiet place. Stunning sea. Presence of toilet, hot and cold shower.
