Vegans take note! I had a beautiful dining experience at Civico 20. I was greeted like family during a very busy time when I did not have a reservation. I dined outside with a beautiful view of the castle and mountains. They have several delicious vegan options on the menu. Warm bread and fresh olive oil for dipping started the meal. I had the Peasant’s Soup for antipasto. It was a warm and delicious stew. I then had the Rintrocili pasta dish which was pasta and mushrooms cooked to perfection in a truffle cream sauce. I had no room for dessert but they even have vegan dessert options. I highly recommend a visit to this restaurant (whether you’re vegan or not). It was the perfect ending to my castle visit. I happened upon Civico 20 during my trip and was pleasantly surprised! Carefully prepared and flavorful local dishes, a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and kind and attentive service. An authentic place where you eat truly well, highly recommended! 🍷✨

A magnificent restaurant, a warm welcome, a breathtaking view, it is among the best restaurants in Abruzzo

We were pleasantly surprised by the quality and abundance of the dishes. We ordered an appetizer for two, mushroom pasta, and ricotta-filled ravioli and white wine. Everything was incredibly fresh and delicious. We'll be back!

We didn't book and didn't read anyone's reviews, except for the old man we met in the square in front of the bar who told us: "Go there... the food is good..." True!!! Typical dishes and flavors like home-made... refined ingredients. I'll just say that the ragù was also made with pork ribs, like the old-fashioned ones... generous portions, so consider your hunger, but if you don't finish a dish, you can take it home. Price: I'd rather spend a few euros more for quality and quantity than a few euros less and eat food like what I find at the supermarket. Oh, and bread made partly by them with olives and turmeric. Sweet chili peppers to eat as much as you want.

A charming place, pleasant music, beautiful views, elaborate and very good food, tiramisu for dessert, impressive, service 10/10. Will definitely come back.

It's an interesting place: an art gallery converted into a restaurant at the foot of the castle. The food was excellent, high-quality, and above all, thoughtfully crafted. We appreciated the owners' explanations of the dishes and the seasonal menu, which really shows their passion for their craft. The place was impeccably clean, and the decor was quite distinctive and in keeping with the theme. The owners organize events and are very helpful in providing tourists with tips on lesser-known and underrated destinations. If you're passing through, Civico 20 is a must-visit for enjoying good Abruzzo cuisine.

Con vista Castello medievale e omaggi iniziale (pani e olio) e finale (pizzelle alla crema), abbiamo mangiato gnocchi alle zucchine, zafferano e granulare di nocciole e pallotte al sugo. Con 2 caffè e acqua abbiamo pagato 33 euro più che meritate dai gentili proprietari. Torneremo

Nel bellissimo borgo di Roccascalegna, ai piedi del castello si trova questo ristorante, con cucina genuina, piatti semplici, ma molto buoni. Il locale dispone di tavoli esterni e con le belle giornate e’ un piacere mangiare ammirando il castello. Il menù dispone di scelta con opzioni vegetariane e vegane, risulta nei locali con marchio vegan certificato.
