CHEZ BLACK In

The food wasn't as good as other places in Rome. I had back squid ink pasta and it was OK. The limencello spritzers are good and view is amazing.

I visited the cafe in the morning. It's very cute. It seems to get crowded in the evening. The coffee is average. You pay for the view ☺️

We had passed by this restaurant which was right by our hotel, and dined at a couple of other restaurants. When we had dinner at ChezBlack, it was truly the best meal we have had, in Positano. My wife had the spaghetti and meatballs, which she declared were excellent. I had the lasagna, which was I believe some of the best I’ve ever had. The service was superior and the atmosphere by the beach with children in Halloween costume was very Vibrante. I would highly recommend this to any travelers to Positano. I also had the distinct pleasure of being introduced to and visiting with Signore Black by Roman, the Maître d', a wonderful host. A wonderful dining experience.

Food was very good , service from fransceco & hayat also fantastic.. However the Host nidda attitude was not welcoming and extremely dry which rewinds our night and we were about to leave the restaurant .

This shop is located in the main area of ​​Positano, closest to the beach. The interior is decorated in a peppermint color and is very stylish. Photographs of famous people are displayed.

We decided to go to Positano for my wife’s birthday, so a special restaurant for this occasion was needed, we searched all internet and Chez black kept coming out on top, even our local Italian restaurant owner , said without doubt Chez black We asked for a frontal table with a good view and the restaurant manageress Gabriella gave us a perfect one with great views, her service made us feel so special, The menu had a great variety and even though we’d been warned it was expensive, we thought it was reasonable considering the food quality and the restaurant position We chose lobster with a side of pasta , the pasta was wow in a sauce not too over powering to complement the seafood which was cooked perfectly We chose a local white wine with help from our waiter Pasqual as the wine list was exceptional. As they knew it was a birthday celebration we got a complementary tiramisu with a sparkler , which was a great touch But I have to add was the best tiramisu I’d ever had , the flavour and texture outstanding Even the owner Gianfranco came over to wish my wife happy birthday, and we got into a conversation about the history about the restaurant truly inspirational. The attentiveness and service of the staff was exceptional, the food quality, the best Italian restaurant I’ve ever eaten in , so good we went again the 2nd night So if your ever in Positano be sure to make this restaurant a must on your list as you’ll not be disappointed

While the location is excellent, the food and service were nothing spectacular. All of our dishes (pizza, pasta and fish), were just average. After reading the reviews, we expected better food.

We had high hopes for this restaurant. It is a beautiful setting, right on the sea. Service was good. But the food was average and with small portions. I ordered their signature spaghetti with lobster, and it was half of a small tail. I think it was maybe 3 bites of lobster in total. My daughter had the marinara pizza, heart-shaped, which was cute. My husband had a fish entree, which was also very small. Drinks were good. It's more of a "place to be seen" than it is a place for excellent food. But we had a good time overall.
