Great place to go to eat quality fish even at a modest price for the quality of the food. Extremely kind and helpful owners and a welcoming place, we recommend booking in advance given the limited seating. Optimal.

Delicious busara fettuccine. The scampi on the plate were very fresh and the portion was generous. The restaurateur recommended an excellent Friulian wine (Petrucco) which was appreciated by all the guests and was perfect with the pasta. Great experience!

Deliziosa! Everything was fresh, delicious and beautifully presented in a warm ambience. We really enjoyed our meal here.

Top restaurant in Trieste. In terms of quality/price it is perhaps the best restaurant I have been to. Excellent selection of wines and very competent staff. It is certainly more expensive than average, but for the quality of the fresh fish and the cuisine it is worth it. The appetizer "la champagnieria" which has a selection of typical dishes is recommended. Cabin-style interior furnishings, the room is very quiet and you can't hear the street. We ate and enjoyed the wine in complete tranquility.

Nice food but we weren’t made to feel welcome

This was a nice surprise. A lovely place with a surprising interior decor that probably carries the heritage of days past. The menu is short and non conventional. Ingredients are common ones but they are served with a twist, making the offering interesting. All the food was good. For a place called "Champagneria" I would have expected more selection of champagne but honestly, we would have not needed more. Personnel has an interesting sense of humor. I really liked the plates they used to serve food in.

We ended up eating here looking for a bit of tranquility outside of the historic center and we found what we were looking for. We were surprised that no one else came in to eat during the shift. I don't understand, the restaurant is very nice and the food was very well prepared.
