This mountain restaurant is great. Warm, mountain decor. It's good and plentiful, especially wild boar stew with polenta.

A characteristic hut close to the beginning of the salt road. Parking available for both motorbikes and cars. It is possible to sit both inside and outside, from where you can enjoy a considerable panorama. On a not exactly hot September day we had lunch inside and the setting is decidedly captivating and characteristic. Fairly commercial wine and beer, I would say obvious. Courses accompanied by quality polenta. We tasted the polenta with a mix of two specialties on the menu. The mixes were created, between me and my fellow diners, with venison, sausage with tomato sauce, mushrooms and cured meat. Everyone satisfied. The desserts did not satisfy us completely. Good, but not the quality we expected. Very friendly and helpful staff. Definitely recommended chalet

After passing the 46 laces road coming from Tende, a road which is quite complicated but which arrives at the top of the pass will offer you a breathtaking view. In addition you will find a superb chalet in a magnificent location! Very good product and very original decoration. I highly recommend it, it's worth the detour.

I want to think that your smiling inconvenience was due to the closing time approaching, because while it would be disgusting to discover that we were introduced before arriving, it would be ignoble instead of you denying the truth. In any case to summarize; yes, it's true that I entered your place slightly altered by my own affairs but I have never been rude to anyone, the two of your customers sitting near the entrance were not able to reciprocate my greeting while I had a fair amount of difficulty in meeting the look of the three girls behind the counter to be able to carry out my orders, (please don't hide behind the hypocrisy of turning the omelette by saying that evidently I am the one who has badly disposed the people around me, I am perfectly capable of understanding the circumstances and to evaluate my responsibilities). Wanting to move on to the more concrete and solid side, I would say that if we had received table service with cutlery and glass glasses, we would pay 29 euros, (for: two medium beers without glass, let alone two snacks, two slices of cake, a can of coke and juice fruit, no glasses) would have been excessive anyway. I wasn't present at the final stages of the order but even if it were my girls who gave up any glass, which I would suspect was plastic, it wouldn't make much difference. I don't know what convoluted reasons you will be able to put together but in any case I will end by adding that both the two people already seated outside when we arrived as well as the others who arrived after us were courtesy of receiving glass glasses. We practically left Savona convinced that we could enjoy a fresh refreshment to crown our trip out of town but I have the idea that we will never make this mistake again. Five stars that could even be worth just one.

Locale storico, ormai venire in questo locale è una tradizione, sempre gestito con simpatia, professionalità e cortesia, il panorama meraviglioso fa da cornice ad un pranzo vero montanaro, la scelta è ampia, ma la polenta la fa da regina. Qualità prezzo perfetti.

Di ritorno in moto dalla Francia, e dopo aver percorso il Col di Tenda ed un magnifico tratto della Via del Sale, ci fermiamo allo Chalet Le Marmotte. Ecco la mia recensione. LOCATION 8: La bellezza tutt'intorno. Siamo sulle Alpi, al confine tra Italia e Francia. Il paesaggio è mozzafiato e si perde a 360° tra montagne verdi e vette incontaminate. Anche l'interno dello calet è molto bello: legno, tanti vecchi cimeli sciistici, foto autografate di campioni recenti e meno. Una bella veranda fuori lo chalet che permette di mangiare godendo dello spettacolo della natura. Molto bello. SERVIZIO 7: Cominciamo con il fare i complimenti alle ragazze che ci sono in sala. Simpatiche, efficienti ed anche molto carine, il che non guasta. Qualche imprecisione sulle comande ma quando sei in 7 ci può stare. MENU' 6: Piatti della tradizione montana a fare da padroni. Buono il tagliere di formaggi e quello di salumi, un po troppo acquosi a mio giudizio i piatti con selvaggina e polenta, buona la polenta concia anche se l'avrei gradita meno liquida. Ad ogni modo dopo due giorni in Francia capisci la differenza con la cucina italiana: ITALIA 2 - FRANCIA 0 CONTO 6: corretto per quello che si è mangiato e bevuto. Ho letto diverse recensioni negative su questo chalet, personalmente non mi trovano d'accordo: ho mangiato senza wow ma sicuramente tutt'altro che male, e se ci sarà l'occasione di certo tornerò.
