Nel centro del paese piccolo e accogliente locale con pochi tavoli; questo permette al personale di seguire con attenzione tutti i clienti.
Il menù non è vastissimo ma per noi è sinonimo di freschezza degli ingredienti e di attenzione nel cucinarli.
Abbiamo preso due menu degustazione ottimi: un susseguirsi di sorprese, sapori e abbinamenti perfetti. La stella Michelin è super meritata, il conto in linea con locali simili.

Conosciuto attraverso app Michelin il locale non ha disatteso le aspettative.
Struttura molto piccola e ben tenuta,gestita,come servizio,dalla responsabile di sala,ottimamente coadiuvata da una cucina verificatasi all’altezza di portate eleganti e dal gran gusto,facendo un particolare riferimento alle entree di benvenuto che senza esagerazione sono state di livello superiore.
Tutto di gradimento quindi,anche se un lieve difetto va comunque evidenziato.
Il locale in pratica è molto piccolo,circa 10 coperti e nel momento in cui i tavoli,ovviamente,discorrono durante la serata si crea un frastuono di base realmente fastidioso dovuto anche alla mancanza di trattamento acustico.
In ogni caso nonostante il seccante “difetto riparabile” il locale resta più che consigliato.

A really interesting lunch break in one of those stops that the redhead would invite you to visit if you found yourself near Salerno at midday. Just seven minutes from the motorway junction must be traveled to properly refresh the spirit and body.
I think Cetaria is a little jewel in Baronissi's collection.
The location is well-kept, welcoming and not pretentious.
The super attentive and friendly service, coordinated by Federica, who was awarded a Michelin award this year for this very reason, made our experience truly pleasant.
The flavor combinations offered by the Amore per il Mare menu are interesting and sometimes daring.
Chef Salvatore Avallone's choice is courageous even when it comes to bringing the strong flavors of our south back into the amuse buche, served at the start.
It's a shame not to have taken advantage of the pairing with local wines offered by the restaurant. Luigi Moio's Fiano proposed by Federica was however very popular.
The wine list is really interesting and extensive: Cetaria requires a stopover with an overnight stay on site if you are a wine lover.
The prices are absolutely below those of a gastronomic restaurant (a restaurant concept that transcends stars and forks, I allow myself to clarify by reading the opinions of some past customers), so I advise you to visit it as soon as possible.
As always, places are made by people, by their savoir and know-how and Salvatore and Federica make Cetaria a special place.

An unforgettable culinary experience at Cetaria
I had the pleasure of returning to Baronissi after some time and having dinner at the Cetaria restaurant, a place, in a historic building, not very large but very welcoming and clean which combines refinement, tradition and creativity in every dish.
This is thanks to the talented chef Salvatore Avallone, the true creator of a cuisine that enhances the dishes, both land and sea, and the flavors of the territory in a unique and innovative way. His creations are not simple dishes, but sensorial experiences that harmoniously combine tradition and innovation, with obsessive attention to the quality of the raw material and presentation. His passion, as I have also reviewed on other occasions, is reflected in every detail of the menu, which manages to amaze even the most demanding palates.
The restaurant, elegant and welcoming, is embellished by the presence of Federica Gatto, the chef's wife and kind, friendly and impeccable maître-sommelier. Federica is a hostess who knows how to put guests at ease, with a professionalism and kindness that are rare to find. Thanks to his expertise, the wine list is curated with extreme attention, offering a selection perfectly in line with the chef's creations.
We chose the seafood menu and starting from the scallops as a starter, to the pasta mixed with lobster as a first course, to the extraordinary tuna second course, rich in flavour, up to the exquisite desserts, every moment at Cetaria was perfect. The service, awarded with a Michelin star, is impeccable, with Federica and her team knowing how to manage every detail with a perfect balance between attention and discretion.
Salvatore Avallone and Federica Gatto's Cetaria is a true gastronomic jewel, a place where the passion for cooking and the excellence of the service come together in an experience that deserves to be lived. Absolutely recommended to anyone looking for a haute cuisine experience in an elegant and welcoming environment. As a frequenter of starred restaurants I can say that the quality/service/price ratio is also very honest. I can't wait to return!
