We had a group of ten. Table was set so we were quite spaced out but it was quiet. Food prepared nicely but not great for the price! Slow service. There were lots of great extras like a starter lemon vodka drink, bread, fabulous bread sticks, crackers with oil. And yummy candies at the end! Quite pricey!

This was a fantastic spot to celebrate our anniversary while visiting Florence. The sophisticated atmosphere and impeccable service made this a very special meal.
Bedsides our delicious multi-course meal, we were greeted with a lemon/vodka/prosecco apertivo, a tasting platter, and an elegant presentation of four types of bread. Between our dishes, we were served a very light palate refresher with green chartreuse.
Cestello has an extensive wine list; another table ordered the wine flight and it was lovely admiring the presentation! Both the charred sea bass and chef-special branzino were phenomenally tasty. My husband ordered gnocchi, and amberjack from the Crudite menu. Each dish delivered layers of flavors, a real distinction in a city filled with good food.
The service included at least four different servers attending to our fresh flatware. Each course seamlessly blended with the best. It was a feast for the senses.
For dessert, we chose the chocolate dome with banana-rum sorbet, and espresso.
Finally, when my stomach felt ready to burst, our server brought out a tiered sampler with six bite-sized dolci for us to taste.
The whole evening was exquisite!

Great fish and seafood place in Florence. On the expensive side but worth it. We really liked wine pairing for the degustation menu. It was very well thought through with new learnings and great fit to dishes.

Selection of the best seafood with a variety of preparations. Great wine selection supported by the helpful guidance of the sommelier. Evening started off great with lively conversation at the bar and progressed to the outdoor dining. Every single member of the team ensured we felt warm and welcomed.

Recently, I suddenly remembered this restaurant that I had eaten at more than ten years ago. On a whim, I immediately made an appointment with friends to revisit the taste of the past. The environment is similar to what I remember, not much has changed. It still focuses on seafood dishes, and the familiar atmosphere makes people travel back in time. The menu offers set meals and a la carte. We finally chose a five-course set meal, and ordered two more shrimps (after all, it feels uncomfortable without adding some 🤣).
| Appetizer | The two appetizers are one cold and one hot. The cold one is raw food and the hot one is cooked food. The taste is excellent, which is the kind that will make people appetizing and look forward to the next rhythm.
| Add points | We added a crayfish, red devil shrimp and smoked salmon. Both shrimps are super fresh and sweet, with a firm and chewy texture. They are definitely one of the highlights of the night.
As for the salmon, it is a bit average.
| Main course | The main course is handmade Italian dumplings with squid ink, and the skin is the highlight!
The skin is bouncy and has a bit of seafood flavor, which goes really well with the red devil shrimp.
The only pity is that the filling is sheep's milk filling...
It's a bit too greasy for me (personal taste issue),
In the end, I only ate the skin and shrimp, which is just right!
(If the filling is fish, I will definitely give it full marks 💯)

The aroma and taste are very rich, the fish skin is crispy, and the fish meat is tender,
It is a very satisfying main course.

The dessert is a little sweet, but it is still within an acceptable range,
On the contrary, I prefer the peanuts 🥜𝖯𝗋𝖾𝖣𝖾𝗌𝗌𝖾𝗋𝗍.
Overall, this dinner was very satisfying.
Each dish had its own highlights.
The only small regret was that the dumpling filling was not to my liking.

Let yourself be blown away by this hidden gem of a restaurant where TRUE passion for hospitality, food and wine pairings with cool beats in the background gives you the total package of a evening that will have you talking about this place and the experience you had for years to come!!!!!!We were told about Cestello by Paolo our Concierge at Villa Medici and will be forever grateful for the tip that had us have one of our best meals and evenings out for years. Francisco our server and Juan our Sommelier had us try the blind 5 course menu and wine pairing that from the get go had us guessing the many flavors exploding across our taste buds. It was sublime and had us enjoying every second of our dinner and wine we were blown away by. The chef and team in the kitchen had a great experimental vibe complimented with incredible ingredients and beautiful presentation that had us excited all the way thru the almost 3 hour experience. You cannot leave Firenze without at least 1 meal here!!!!!

Absolutely outstanding experience at Cestello Ristoclub!
Elegant and peaceful atmosphere, beautiful music, and the food was simply perfect — every dish was a delight. The staff’s smiles were not just polite gestures, but truly heartfelt.
A very special thank you to Izadora — her presence elevated the entire evening. She wasn’t just serving tables, she was creating a memorable experience with every movement. Her smile was sincere, her energy unstoppable, and her kindness felt real. She worked with the grace, precision, and determination of an F16 in full flight, yet always made us feel at home.
She is the kind of person who turns a good dinner into a great memory. Thank you, Izadora — you truly made the night unforgettable. And my sincere compliments to the chef for the incredible food. I will definitely be back!
