Stumbled upon a restaurant along the way by chance. It could hardly have gone better. Great food, wide choice and friendly staff. Super value for money!

We stayed at Cardeto during the walk of the silent villages... the food is excellent, the service deserves five stars, the blonde waitress was very good, polite and smiling, kindness and helpfulness Thank you

Today I was there for lunch. I noticed that they have changed management. The house starter was sufficient, I was expecting something more for the cheeses, but it was still good. The grilled meat was exceptional, the first course with goose meat sauce was appreciated by my daughter. The staff were friendly and kind. To return with great pleasure 😊 😊 😊

A dinner at Il Cardeto after a stage of the Cammino dei Borghi is mandatory. Good service, excellent dishes. Very good place and normal prices. I highly recommend it. Marco A.

Trattoria Tipica La pergola

21/01/2025: I happened upon this place because it was the ONLY restaurant I found open on a January Monday in Orvieto (I walked to 10 other closed locations that were “open” on Google hours). The dining room seemed a little odd, but once I went to the bathroom and saw the incredible patio through the restaurant, I would have much preferred to be seated there. It was not mentioned to me, although I was the only patron in the restaurant when I arrived. As for the food, I was blown away. The Amantriciana with Umbricelli was unlike any I’ve had. Delicious. The house focaccia and loaf were exceptional. I also bake long-ferment sourdough and know a good one when I get one. Tiramisu was interesting, crunchy cookies in the bottom with no coffee flavor, but perfectly not too sweet. As the restaurant filled in, I noticed many people were getting the artichoke and cod appetizer dish, wish I would have added to my order had I more room. People were licking their lips. I may go back for the diaphragm and shrimp bone marrow dish. Brava!
06/01/2025: Excellent location, center of Orvieto. Decent service, not very attentive. Pasta with meat sauce good but a little bland. The cutting boards are really excellent. Egg pasta and desserts are nothing special. It would be 3 and a half stars

La bottega del Giullare

28/12/2024: Prenotato all'ultimo e per fortuna trovato posto, ma siamo stati fortunati perché solo in due. Altri gruppi più gremiti hanno visto declinare la possibilità per mancanza di posto. Quindi consigliamo prenotare per tempo. Il locale infatti era pienissimo. Già durante la camminata per arrivare al tavolo abbiamo visto piatti squisiti. Presi i tipici manfricoli con cacio pepe e tartufo e l'altro con fave, pecorino e guanciale. Semplicemente stupendi e buonissimi. Lenticchie e salsiccia e strapazzata di uovo con tartufo per secondi. TUTTO ECCELLENTE ALTA QUALITÀ E GENUINITÀ La cosa più piacevole di tutte: LO STAFF Il proprietario in particolare è stato semplicemente favoloso nel accertarsi che tutto fosse di nostro gradimento e alla fine ha tenuto con noi una piacevole conversazione. Davvero un locale consigliatissimo!!!!! Complimenti!!!
28/07/2024: In visita a Narni ci siamo fermati per caso in questo ristorante sulla via principale, ospitalità, cortesia e buoni i piatti che abbiamo gustato, ambiente carino e caratteristico, prezzi nella norma e servizio veloce nonostante fosse domenica ed il locale pieno!
