Castle of Torrechiara In Langhirano

A splendid castle in Langhirano. A kingdom and testament to the love story between Pier Maria Rossi and Bianca Pellegrini, celebrated in the Golden Chamber and the Bridal Chamber, with frescoes that evoke their love story. The castle can be visited on the ground and first floors, up to the patrol walkways, which offer breathtaking views. The rooms are bare and unfurnished, but extensively and magnificently frescoed. Admission is €8 and the tour takes about an hour. Visit the small village below to taste wines and excellent food. A must-see.

It was a good decision to go. The castle is beautiful from the outside and the frescoes inside are also wonderful.

A must-see gem located just a 20-minute drive from Parma. If, like me, you've planned a guided food tour in Langhirano, you're already on your way to this wonderful castle.

A lovely visit. The castle is interesting and in excellent condition. It has been extensively renovated, and not entirely respectfully, but it's definitely worth a visit, if only for the beautiful views from the ramparts. In good weather, it's definitely worth a visit.
