We went to this farmhouse for lunch on Saturday. The kindness of the staff and owner was immediately evident.
We ate Piedmontese cuisine, and I must say everything was delicious... I recommend trying it.

Great place, we usually buy the goat cheeses, which are excellent. Last night we also stopped for dinner, a pleasant surprise; the food was excellent. We'll be back.

A unique and welcoming location with good quality food, especially the meat.
It's a shame the first course wasn't as good!

I was near Moncalvo and found this restaurant. The atmosphere was lovely, the staff were very friendly, and the ingredients were high-quality. I tried the main course of the day (€15). The risotto was excellent, and the vegetables were delicious.

I went for dinner and found it to be an excellent place with traditional dishes but with a bit of a twist...the wine and meat were excellent...I will definitely return.

Clean place, staff make you feel at home. Excellent food: excellent meats, cured meats, and cheeses. The best cooked salami. And if you want, you can also buy their products.

My visit to Cascina Valeggia was a mixed experience, with some truly pleasant aspects and others that unfortunately fell short of expectations, especially considering the rich culinary tradition of Monferrato.
The ambiance is undoubtedly one of its strong points: refined, welcoming, with an atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. The service was also friendly and attentive, contributing to a very positive initial impression.
Regarding the dishes, the appetizer—a Fassona veal with tuna sauce—was delicious and beautifully presented, as was the first course: homemade tajarin with 30 red wines and sausage ragù, a simple yet comforting dish that lived up to expectations.
The downside, however, came with the second courses. The tagliata with truffle, despite starting with decent-quality meat, was penalized by a truffle that was completely devoid of aroma and flavor, a factor that is particularly significant in a region like Monferrato. We expect a product that enhances the dish, not goes unnoticed.
The stew, finally, was the most critical aspect of the meal: more than a traditional stew, it tasted like a piece of boiled beef (rib) reimagined in a different way, but failed to impress in terms of either texture or flavor. A real shame, especially since it's a signature dish of the local cuisine.
In short, Cascina Valeggia certainly has potential thanks to its pleasant atmosphere and good service, but the quality of the meats and truffles—essential elements for a cuisine that seeks to echo the Monferrato tradition—would deserve an overhaul. With greater attention to suppliers and the selection of raw materials, it could truly offer an experience worthy of the setting.

An excellent agriturismo where you'll find locally sourced meats, cheeses, produce, wines, and more! I recommend making a reservation. The staff is very friendly, young, attentive, and knowledgeable. The quality/price ratio is excellent. Their products can be purchased directly at their fresh produce counter!
